Just posted this over the weekend among me and my friends: ?Why are people afraid to turn down food? I've seen so many people discuss eating simply to be polite. I don't believe in this whatsoever. I have a right to control EVERY bit of food that goes into my mouth regardless of whose feelings it might hurt. Would you do…

I am newly diagnosed with PCOS. I am not insulin resistant, but I have been eating a low GI diet for a long time (hypoglycemic diagnosis several years ago), and I've gotten pretty good at managing my blood sugar/insulin response, so all of my levels have been stable for a long time. We're not TTC either right now. You can…

I have to agree with this, but since you asked: 1) Hydration (as in you drinking LOTS of water) 2) Exfoliation 3) Hydration (as in using moisturizers - day/night creams, masques) 4) Sunscreen ETA: ditto other posts: don't smoke (I don't, so I didn't think about it) and proper rest!

You're second paragraph made me laugh out loud! That is all.....

I absolutely have. I've hooted and hollered and texted my friends pictures from the dressing room! haha

Thanks for thinking that! I'm not even out of the "overweight" range just yet. I'd like to lose more because I've got a couple of health conditions stacking the deck for me. I figure leaner is better.
-
Thank you so much! I think so too! That's the glow of healthy eating and self confidence!

Thank you - you're very sweet!

Thank you! You're very sweet.

Petites are for shorter people. I'm 5'8" - frequently, regular sizes are too short, and I have to go with talls.

I absolutely agree with your hypothesis! My husband concurs!

Awesome job!!!! I remember the first time I did 1 mile - and 2 - and 3 - but 10, wow! You're amazing!
-
You look amazing! Congrats! Your hard work most certainly paid off!

You NEVER get called anything but MA'AM anymore! :grumble:  I'm only 30 for Pete's sake - I can still qualify as a MISS, can't I???

Me! I eat a pile of restaurant food........
-
I used to struggle with this as well - lots of fruits and veggies, water, and make sure you're getting enough fat would be my advice. These simple things keep me "going" daily!

String cheese, nuts, egg whites, Greek yogurt, protein Kind bars, high protein Slimfast shakes - these are what I typically have for snacks.

LOVE IT! :flowerforyou:

I agree with this 100%! I have PCOS, so I eat as if I am insulin resistant - in accordance with a high protein, high fat, low GI diet. I also keep my calories consistent - typically three 400-450 calorie meals per day with no snacking. As you can see from my ticker, it's worked for me.....
-
For me, it's the 10 days or so before - I've gone up as much as 7 lbs. When my period arrives, my bloat passes.

I'd become paranoid of all people in sunglasses....
