I track my fiber. On the website, you can change what you see in Settings<Diary Settings. :)

I lost my boyfriend suddenly a little over a year ago (he was only 29). The one thing that grief support taught me was to be forgiving, especially with yourself. Personally, I threw my diet, for lack of better words, out the window and did end up ballooning back to my highest weight. I don't say that to scare you, but…

Like everyone is saying, you cannot spot reduce, but you can work out those muscles just like anywhere else. Toning muscles will help tighten things up as you lose the weight. I was apprehensive at first and figured they it wouldn’t work, but I did a facial and neck stretch/work out that I saw on YouTube. I felt ridiculous…

I have a huge coffee addiction! I’ve tried every way to cut calories from my habit, but found I don’t like any of those substitutes. I’m honest with myself… I’m not going give it up so I just had to learn to manage my day around my love for coffee. It’s probably not what most people will tell you or that you expected to…

Wow! Just wow!!

I track any supplements solely to keep track of whether or not I took them lol

Amazing! Congratulations!!

Thankfully, you will find majority of us are dealing with or have dealt with food issues. I went to therapy for eating issues after having cycled between binge eating and anorexic tendencies since I was a teenager. If therapy isn't an option, but you want to find local (not virtual) support, you could check out your…

Back to the OP... Said nutritionist/dietician is not "dieting" for you, so the only self discipline that matters is the patient's Personally, I find it really hard to take advice from a person that is thin/average who has never dealt with the residual issues of obesity. So yes, I’d like to think if I ever went to a…

I agree, he should probably see a doc since there could be something else going on. That being said, I also know how stubborn men can be (sorry guys). Keep in mind, it's totally possible (and plausible) to put on weight with "health" foods while you lose with portion control.

I am digging this Chocolate Quinoa Granola that I have. No recipes but seems simple enough to make. Perfect for breakfast. Ingredients include oats brown rice syrup, brown sugar, coconut, almonds, sesame seeds, freeze dried berries, vanilla extract, salt, baking soda. I am planning on recreated this one.

For real! There are so many bigger problems (or lyrics, for that matter) to be offended by.

^This. Personally, I cannot stand the song. Also, although I am obese, I am not one for the whole fat activism movement either. However, this article hits the nail on the head. Body shaming against any body type is unacceptable and I wish it would stop. That being said, however, as this article lays out, your offense to…

A similar thing happened to an old friend and myself. We were going up an escalator exiting the metro in LA and this crazy man with a Ziplock bag of prescription pills standing behind us started to sing that song. Everyone is the station could hear and were staring. We laughed it off, but I was silently mortified and there…

Cons: Wastes money, does nothing Pros: They smell nice (at least mine did)

I didn't have a chance to read through all the comments, but I read somewhere that the hydrating effects in coffee or tea outweighs the diuretic quality until about the 3-4 cup. Obviously this would depend on weight and other factors, but you can count it. Search the forum for this same issue and I bet you’ll find the…

Also, an example day doesn't mean much. Consider opening your food diary so that it can reviewed properly. :) Sending you luck on your journey!

Personally I think it does matter. I lost weight eating nothing but breakfast shakes and Taco Bell, but it doesn't mean that was a healthy lifestyle. For example, a McDonalds cheeseburger is about 300 cals but think of all the lean protein and filling veggies you can eat for 300 cals. The key is getting the most bang for…

Have you been in maintenance for 4 years? From my understand, as you lose, you need to recalculate your caloric necessities and macronutrients. I will go as far as to say you may have jacked up your metabolism considering a grown man at 140 lb and 5'7" maintenance (TDEE) with a moderately active lifestyle should be…

^THIS... and with only 19 lbs to lose, your weight loss should be slow (set calculators to about 1/2-1 lb loss per week)
-
I agree with a lot of people, those close to you always have a picture of you and may be shocked over loss. It’s a part of the journey to say this is the new me and I am proud of that. Personally, I feel like you LOOK great, but like a few people here, I also followed your other posts including ‘short girl intake/1200 cal’…

Assuming you are accepting advise, you've set your goal of weight loss way too high. Set it to lost 1/2 per week and you calorie goal will be much more realistic. :)

Sorry if this is overkill. I just think I started to grasp it better with examples, personally. Here I’ll show you with my figures with three calculator examples: Stats: Female 23 yrs old CW 255 lbs Activity 1-3 hour per wk 20% deficiency Scooby’s calculator totals: BMR – 1961 TDEE – 2696 20% deficiency – 2157 IIFYM…

Without knowing all your stats (CW, H, activity level, etc), its difficult to help you come up with the closest estimate. Even then, you could use the average of what all the calculators said as your averaged suggested intake. Personally, from there, it was all trial and error to find the sweet spot which is generally…

23 with 80-100 lbs to lose

I suggest 30DS too. Plus you can find it on YouTube. Good luck!

I am new to this low-carb lifestyle myself and probably have no place advising, but it seems that your macros are off for this kind of dieting. Most of the research I've done on keto diets suggests you set your macros at around 5% carbs (depending on your stats about 24 grams), 30% protein, 65% fat. I happen agree with…
