OOH OOH OOH! I KNOW! I'll go get my Starbucks Pike's Roast AFTER my lifting session and add my protein powder to it! It's like a reward for lifting today!
-
But THIS ^^ I can do!! I have chocolate protein powder with me at work! But then I don't have it for after my lifting session today... hmmm...

I'd love to have some of these yummy ideas, but I'm at work - I don't have all of this stuff at the office! LOL Just fast food joints and coffee shops around here! I'm making do... drinking my coffee mug full of water and eating hard blackberries and a Chobani yogurt. :drinker:
-
BWAHAHAHA! So does that mean there will be office orgies??? I want to work at your office!
-
I'm in if there's still room! :D
-
Reserve you a room!

OP - Ummmm, seriously? Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not... I sure hope so... if not, you're mad because your coworker isn't changing her ways and those of everyone else in the office to suit YOUR needs? And honestly, it sure sounds like she was trying to be nice by arranging fruit and juice instead of donuts and…

I also think that you may be working too hard - if you have your heart rate too close to your max HR for too long, you could be hurting yourself, rather than helping yourself. I would get a heart rate monitor to try to stay withing your target HR as much as possible. Also, make sure you have some energy to work off of when…

I can't speak to any of the others, but I just got my Polar FT4 in the mail yesterday. I got it off Amazon for $65.00. I used it last night for the first time when I went running, and it had NO problems accurately picking up my HR. I am very happy with it... of course, that's just one day of use, though. Good luck!

WOW! You must have had a great belt!! :D Congrats!

Oh MY GAWD. I've never even THOUGHT about combining the two things, let alone tried them... but now... NOW... I HAVE TO! You will find me hiding under my kitchen table with various combinations of Pop Tarts and Ben & Jerry's... :flowerforyou:

Look at my food diary for yesterday and judge all you want. I had fast food for all three meals yesterday. NO, that is not normal, but there are times that I can't avoid it with 4 kids, a husband, full time job, and 800 activities... But I still managed to stay WAY under my calories yesterday... blew some of my other…

I don't really feel smug or superior of my choices or judge others' carts... my cart is usually a mish mash of stuff anyway - healthy and junk. My husband loves his Oreos and Lucky Charms, so they ride in the cart next to my fruits & veggies and turkey burgers. I do know, though, that before I was on a healthier path, I…

I am 5'3" and my current weight is 230... My first goal is also 160. I've never been under 160 since junior high (like 22 years ago) so I have no clue what my body may look like when I get there, let alone what my goal weight should be. So I'll need to reassess when I get to 160, I think.

"I'll get you my little pretty, and your little dog, too!"

Crossfit: 2nd row, 1st pic. Very hot - what a bod!

What I miss the absolute most is being able to relax on the couch and not feeling guilty that I'm not out running or being active in some way! Now I'm always feeling guilty when I lay around... There are not really any foods that I miss because I still eat a lot of what I ate before, but in moderation, or healthier…

Mmmmm, bumping for the recipes!

OMG, girl, that's awesome!! Congrats! I'm working on that right now but my fastest at this point has been a 12:50 mile... and I'm still around the 230 mark. You are a testament that I will be able to do it before I'm "thin"!! :D

Love this idea! I'll try it next week!!

This works really well. I actually will buy a LOT of berries at once - they are a favorite in my household, especially when they are in season. So I will fill up my sink with cold water, add a cup or so of vinegar and let them soak for about 20 minutes. Not only does it make them last longer, it cleans off all of the wax…

Tee hee!! I love when people comment without even reading the article that you posted about. :ohwell: The article makes good points, as do a lot of other posters here. Smaller portion sizes = less calories = less fat. But obviously smaller portion sizes is NOT equal to healthier. It all depends on what the nutritional…

This is super timely for me. I just started lifting - I was doing it super casually on random days and random machines after my regular cardio workouts. But then last week I started with a full-body conditioning routine that I found on the Muscle and Strength website. The routine calls for lifting dumbbells three days a…

What an inspiring person and story!! You look incredible - great work!!

I've never in my time on here written anything that was not completely supportive, but I thi8nk you need a wake up call. All of the posters on here who have been very kindly giving you advice on how to recondition your body, which is what you need, are apparently wasting their breath. You have had an excuse for every…

Yep - just record what the scale says. You're officially up 2 lbs. because they are now a part of you. No reason to cheat around that. Just accept that with your new boobs you gained a couple of pounds. :)

OOH, I love these ideas! I love Avocados!
