I'm 5'10" and lose at 1800 as my base (not including exercise calories). MFP overestimates calories by a pretty wide margin, I would suggest (if you're doing steady-state cardio) getting a heart rate monitor for keeping track of your exercise burn. If that's an option. ETA: Before I got my FitBit I was using TDEE and…

Here's what I think about cleanses, in particular discussing them on MFP: Use the search function.

TIL don't eat shampoo and then tell the internet about it.

Haha, classic Jesus. What a rascal. Also, look who it is.

Okay, my experience with questions like these is this: With most normal-minded, rational people, if it's enough to make you wonder "should I mention this to my doctor?" -- the answer is usually yes. This, to me, would warrant a call at least to my GP. ETA: Good for you OP. :)

You... I like you.

Can you clarify what you mean by "bad?" Are you just looking to avoid high-calorie foods? I always pack fresh veggies or a salad to have with my lunch. Filling and low cal.

Agreed.

I gotta stand with Brett on this one. As a young adult living with my parents, I don't like everything they do either. But I'm not sitting here blasting them on a public forum. If I have a problem, I put on my big kid pants and talk to my parents about it. If it ever came to something that was a deal breaker for me, I…

How many easy payments of $19.95 is that? And does that include S&H?

If you gave them money, I concede to a point. But still... seriously, it would not have been that hard to replace your frozen meal portion that got fed to the dog.

How old is her sister? Did she have the food marked? She's an adult. She can replace her own food. You don't know how old her sister is, based on the OP's posts. So she could be 10 years old for all you know. I think you're drawing things between the lines.

Also, this is exactly what I said to my friends list. Grow up, OP. I'm also 21, also study from home, and work. I don't complain when my family doesn't feed me. I pay rent, buy my own groceries, and deal with my own life like an adult. All I could see when I read this was "poor me, I can't take care of myself."
-
1. If you don't like what's in the fridge, buy your own damn groceries. 2. Your family is not obligated to feed you. 3. Your response to your sister's mistake is just sad. Seriously. Go to the grocery store. Buy some ingredients to make yourself a meal that fits your goals for the day, and move on with your life. Christ.

I'll tell you the story! In exchange, all I need is your social security number, main checking account number (with routing#), and a photocopy of a valid drivers license or government ID card. For verification purposes... of course. :) ETA this not mandatory but mandatory disclaimer: This is a joke. For serious. I don't…

Granted my sample size is too small to be an accurate scientific experiment. But in my observance, it's not unfair. Lots of Negative Nancies out there.

I so adore you.

Somewhere in the world, a kitten just died because you said this. I hope you can live with that.

Just split top.

OP: Have you seen a nutritionist or dietician at all? You could start there and develop targeted goals around your desired outcome. That being said, my goals are 60carb/20protein/20fat. That's in percentage of my daily calorie allowance and you can modify it in MFP and tweak as you go. I've replaced a lot of things with…
