Volunteering at a shelter was my thought too.. You get your dog time and the dogs get some needed attention

If you are not happy...no one is going to be happy. Sometimes we have to put ourselves first...even though it is hard for us moms. Give yourself a break. Take the 2 days to recoup and decide to make some changes. Maybe there is a family member that can help with getting kids to some of the activities. Sometimes our kids…

1200 is not enough to maintain even if you where sedentary.. Based on your weight and height and assuming moderate to heavy exercise, you would need 2016 to 2284 to maintain.

And where would you like your calories to come from given the choice? Processed food or whole foods given the same calorie intake? Which do you think is healthier or according to you it doesn't matter?
-
Exactly my point.. I only used Rotten Ronnies french fries as an example of the widespread use of sugar in our processed foods vs 100 years ago when it was a luxury. Why do you think it was such an outrage when Marie Antoinette said "let them eat cake" . The peasants couldn't afford the luxury of buying sugar to bake a cake

Source: McDonalds from their Transparency Campaign The 17 ingredients in their fries Potatoes, canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, safflower oil, natural flavour (vegetable source), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain colour), citric acid (preservative), dimethylpolysiloxane (antifoaming agent) and cooked in…

I never said sugar CAUSES diabetes. Exactly what causes Diabetes is uncertain, although it's believed that genetic susceptibility and ENVIRONMENTAL factors play a role in the development. Diabetes is an inability to control you blood glucose levels... glucose = blood sugar... hmmmmm diets high in sugar? Hmmm
-
Its not realistic. Sugar is added to everything to make it taste better, so that you will buy it. Why to they do all the taste tests? For example, do you expect you french fries to be coated in sugar? ..probably not...but if you buy them from McDonalds or the store..they are. It make them brown up and look better. I don't…

For hundreds of years sugar was a luxury item...not a staple in the diet. Now the high sugar rates are being linked to a rise of diabetes and even Alzheimers.

Think day to day and lifestyle change. You want to lose the weight for life and keep it off. Slow and steady will win the race.

I just finished W1D3 the second time. I decided to repeat the fist week as when I started I was so winded I didn't think I was gonna make it. This second week went better and didn't feel like I was gonna die at the end of every minute. Might actually be ready to move up to week 2. I have decided to take it slow so I don't…

Way to go Missyblue with your logging.. I am at about 2 weeks into logging too.. This is usually where I fall off the wagon and lose motivation. Trying to stay motivated this round. Starting to feel better.

Traluvsfrogs congrats on getting started. You have take the first big leap. We are all on a journey to weight loss and can identify with you. Stay motivated..that is the key. We didn't put this weigh on overnight and we won't lose it overnight. It will take time and a lifestyle change...but you will quickly start to feel…

Maybe look at what you are eating..rather than just calories. Foods with fiber and fat will keep you feeling full longer. They are the slow burn foods and help keep you sugar levels even. . Foods with high carbs (the fast burn) will affect you sugar levels and you will feel hungry faster.. light headed if you sugar levels…

Ok I can relate to the overweight high school athlete...but Olympic level or professional...ahhh not really. I think they are going for the athletes because they are expecting high weight loss from the muscle memory. Just more reason to make the rest of us feel bad for ONLY losing 2 or 3 pounds a week. 30 pounds in 1 weeks…

You can try working your way down to the ground...keep lowing the level you mount from. Also practice lifting yourself up. The bars of a metal gate work well getting your bent leg up higher and higher.
