  • It will be difficult to say the least to attempt a recomp now. I would seriously buckle down on fruit and veg. Low calorie, high nutrient density, filling and so helpful. Stay away from processed foods. My SIL maintained her wait by starting the gestational diabetes diet at about 24 weeks. That would be an option as that…
  • I know you can buy it at Costco. It's it refrigerated though so I don't know how they make it stable (vacuum seal?). I just don't eat enough to get it from there but I don't remember the cost either. Worth checking if it's some where you frequent. It's in w the bulk canned goods...
  • Between 300 and 500. Kellymom says a nursing mother can safely restrict to 1500-1800 calories a day without affecting supply. I've never had an issue losing weight or supply following that recomendation

  • My midwife said to eat 2000 cal. If you know what cals you can eat then focus on lots of fruit and veg you won't get to big. It's tough-I've had four and the weight gain always sends my brain into a tailspin. Here's some stats for you: 1.5 pounds the placenta 7 pounds maternal stores of fat, protein, and other nutrients…
  • I've had my Apple Watch and use the tracking part of it a ton. I find it very motivating to even just move a bit more during the day with my kids. I don't sync it w MFP bc I don't eat my exercise calories back but if I start doing much more I will probably have to figure something out.
  • Had a similar issue so I ignored it. I know that's not much help but I don't count those calories toward my eating for the day. If I had to suggest one, I'd go w the lower not to wipe the deficit.
  • Orgain from Costco. I didn't see it listed above. I enjoy it. It's soy free. Gmo free. 150 cal. Even my kids like it. Lol. Worth a try.
  • Kellmom.com says it's safe to restrict calories to between 1500-1800 cal. I find I get a bit of a supply dip if I stay to low on that for to long but around 1700 works so I shoot for that. Fourth pregnancy.
  • Averages are just that - averages. Some women can gain a LOT more muscle then some men. Genetically I build muscle well. It stinks! Though I doubt a body recomp in this particular situation unless the job described is relatively new? Last six months or so
  • I agree w the above poster that I've been logging but by the end of the day I'm to tired to care. I have a 9 month old and 3.5 year old who nurse (the latter only twice a day) but waking up at night does a number on my ability to have self control around food. And some stuff-like Oreos!-I can't have any or I have to have…
  • Alvarado St. Bakery. It's sprouted like Ezekiel bread. Flourless. Multigrain. Very yummy 80 cal a slice I think. Eta: I get it in the freezer in the deli sections.

  • Emojis are killing me! I meant relatch not rematch. You can do this!! They Learn fast.
  • Kellymom.com suggests between 1500-1800 cal for nursing moms. I CRAVE sugar when I'm nursing and pregnant- otherwise I want salt. It seems to help to keep the calorie goal and I use a vegan shake to get enough protein in before dinner time. If I go into my splurge time of day in a good count calorie -wise I tend to do…
  • I have POTS and this has happened to me since I was 14 - I'm 34. I am Now on lexipro as that seems to help take the edge off. I also take a salt supplement. For some reason shoving chips in my face didn't appeal to me- even when I wasn't calorie restricting.
  • 350 ish. 1 fried egg. 1 English muffin - plain. And two cups of coffee Usually does it for me.
  • I love chickfila salads skip the dressing, Wendy's has good salads too. Also, most grocery stores have some premise salads and stuff in the deli area- some even have salad bars. You could definately do that. Or even pick up a banana and some yogurt in a pinch. That's probably more what I would do. Make a light grocery run…
  • This is my fourth pregnancy using MFP. I am also nursing (2- a 3 yo 2 times a day and a 9 month old on demand). Kellymom.com advises 1500-1800 cal minimum intake for dieting mothers. I find getting to low (1500) can mess with supply if I have been running. Otherwise, I have not had an issue setting at that and slowly…
  • Here in the States, my midwife advised 2000kcal for during pregnancy. I blew past that unfortunately. But I would be interested to hear what your practitioner advised...

  • Heybales- thank you so much!! That helps. I try to be really active with my kids and take them walking and stuff so I think the TDEE is probably pretty close at least. I still feel like its a super high number. I always eat my exercise calories because I'm hungry if I don't. But I don't have issues eating at 1440. I feel…
  • Okay. So I was wondering if I could get some help. This is all confusing me a little bit. I eat 1440 - or I'm supposed too. Bmr according to mfp is 1399. My TDEE is estimated at 2525. I am floating just under 150 at 5'5". (I put my activity level as very active as I just started running again and I have 2 kids under 3 so…
