Someone mentioned it earlier, but it's worth revisiting. Sounds to me like perhaps your "regular" amount of 1200 cals a day might be what leads to this overeating on the weekends. Even the way you described it..."I deserve it"...like you've punished yourself all week with 1200 cals, so why not eat what you want on the…

This has GOT to be the funniest so far...and that's saying a lot cuz there's lots of funny on this thread! Seriously, a turd?!?!?

You can add all the super positive MFP pals in the world, but the motivation can only come from you. No one can get you off your *kitten* and do it for you. Don't look at the big picture if that seems too much; start with small changes. And for god sake, don't jump right in and think you can only eat 1200 cals a day. I…

In my experience, it really is an acquired habit thing. When I reflect back now, I'm astounded at how often I had that stuffed feeling and got used to it being "normal." Now that I know what real portions and satiety is, I cannot stand that overstuffed feeling. So, good news....it gets easier!!! Truly, after you've stuck…

ABANDON SHIP!!! And just eat at a moderate calorie deficit, accurately logging (that means weighing and measuring) all your intake. This will "create" weight loss. See ticker below. ETA: also see @Crepes_ above. She speaks truth.
-
THAT right there. Be sure you are extremely accurate with logging, first. Then see if for some reason you need fewer cals than the average person your size.
-
Some others mentioned it, but I'm going to mention it again...you must log very accurately with a food scale and measure liquids. Seems this comes into play more the closer one is to goal weight. I am 41, 5'7", 183, and as you can see from my ticker, I've been pretty successful losing weight on 1800-1900 cal a day average…

Please just listen to earlier sane advice given. Do NOT repond or listen to posts from unclehofitnes above. He just had two threads locked within 10 minutes of each other.

You may want to search for KETO groups to find like-minded folks like yourself.

OP - listen and listen good. I took a gander at your posting history. On April 17 you actually posted a thread taht said "Hi, I'm anorexic." Ok, so you already know what all these posters are telling you. BUT, are you actually getting help? This is not the proper place to get the serious help you need. Posting a topic…

What the derp did I just wonder into?

You can't, or shouldn't, ask this question completely out of context. Everyone is different in that they are different heights, different starting weights, different ages, different goals. There is no one cal fits all type of response.

Day 1 (Sat, May 3): serving of Mike & Ike jelly beans. No, it's not classy or fancy, but I am so in love with Mike & Ike's. what can I say?! Day 2 (Sun, May 4): Made a 9x13 pan of some PB Chocolate cookie bar things. AWESOMENESS! Stopped myself at two (about 200 cals each). Day 3 (May 5): will be having another homemade PB…

THIS was also quite true for me. For the first 45-50 lbs I only weighed once a week. Once I go more comfortable actually stepping on a scale, I started weighing myself every day just to trend the data. It's really an awesome place to get to when the number on teh scale doesn't dictate your mood and motivation. Now it's…

Since you're an adult (must be 18 to be on MFP), you get to make your own decisions. My opinion (for myself) is that I need to be able to live life and part of my real life is that I go out to eat. It's not cheating if you plan your day and make the dinner out fit your cals. And even if you didn't do that and it is a…

I had to give up shoving anything and everything into my pie hole. I still eat all the foods, just not as much. Seems to be working ;)

Am I the only one mesmerized by this thing?!?!?!

This topic gives me the happies, especially on a Monday morning. I guess I do this anyway, so I'm in. Day 1 (Sat, May 3): serving of Mike & Ike jelly beans. No, it's not classy or fancy, but I am so in love with Mike & Ike's. what can I say?! Day 2 (Sun, May 4): Made a 9x13 pan of some PB Chocolate cookie bar things.…

Here's some bluntness coming, so....yea, buckle up. With the attitude portrayed in your message, you aren't going to be successful. Note that I didn't say you CAN'T...because you CAN (just not with the "I want these lbs off right now" mentality). I am no medical professional, but it is my understanding that when long time…

Awww, man....now I have to stop eating Skippy? But that's what costco sells in the giant jars I have to buy to keep my kids in PB.
-
Really??? You don't even put a little salt into your "natural PB"? It helps bring out the peanuty-ness. Anyhow, Skippy is better than Jif.

Sometimes people just need something (irrational) about which to get up on their high horse. Next month it'll switch to something else. Fruit on, girl!!
-
This still seems like an appropriate area for the thread. All the cool kids come to chit-chat.

HOLY CRAP!!! Is this really how little you've been eating? I guess that would explain the rapid weight loss when you are only 8lbs from goal according to your ticker. I'd barely have enough energy to move!! Seriously, if this is about how much you've been eating, you must eat more. You have definitely lost muscle with that…
-
You are off to a GREAT start, so don't second guess yourself. My suspicion is that it feels "slow" to you because you are looking at your overall goal and that seems so big right now. Maybe look at it this way...you could have done nothing for the last two months and still be 23 lbs heavier! Imagine where you'll be in 4…

No offense, but DERP! All of us who are/were overweight want this phenomenon. However, all calories do count ON A CALORIE COUNTING WEBSITE. Proceed how you wish but expect success/failure to fall in line with how you "count" calories.

It's now a total habit for me to pre-log for the next day at night. This has helped not only with weight loss, but also with getting prepped and out the door in the morning, saving money on groceries, and not needing to "run out for lunch" at work. I get a bit angry if I can't pre-log the night before now!

My own opinion is that you're a dude who should eat more! So here's my theory on all this for myself. I figure my own personal goal is to be able to keep my caloric consumption as high as possible and still lose weight. When I reach maintenance, I get to increase that by a few hundred!! Woo hoo, cuz, ya know, MOAR FOODZ.…

You're new, so let's get this out of the way. You don't need any "products" to lose weight. If you are honest with logging your food (weighing and measuring everything you eat), and eat the amount you should, then you will lose weight.
