Last year I primarily cycled and strength trained. I averaged about 100 miles a week, but this year I have added running to my weekly routine. I cycle anywhere from 50 to 100 a week and run 10 to 12 miles a week. The combination of the two have kept me on target with weight loss, and it seems to keep soreness to a minimum.…

Definitely rest so your injury can recover, but you could do some upper body calisthenics, yoga, and foam roller exercises until you are healed enough to resume running. I run and cycle on alternating days, and I post everyday on Myfitnesspal, & Strava. Right now I only have 5K races under my belt but want to do a 10K before the year end. We have three cats who sleep in bed with us. Two of them are no bother at all, but our little chubby kitty likes to pull my hair in the middle of the night when she gets hungry. She can also be very vocal.

Not really a diet, but do try to stay within my calorie limits, and eat healthy. Exercise program changes throughout the year.
