When I'm low on calories for the day I'll down a glass of milk, have a slice of cheese or smear peanut butter on something :) both excellent sources of protein and packs some good calories. Wow, definitely not eating enough. Your metabolism needs fuel every 2.5 - 3 hours to work the way its supposed to. Atl is right, swap out as many canned/boxed foods as you can with fresh. Dried beans instead of canned, fresh or frozen veggies instead of canned, regular rice instead of instant, etc. You will also find that you will save more money this way as well :)
