Hi, just read your profile. I'm from Ottawa. Nice to have you onboard.

Welcome. I do the 5:2 and love, love, love it. The 5:2 group is supportive and the issues discussed are very helpful.

My son used to live in Dayton. Now he's in Georgia. I'm in Ottawa, Canada.

Well it certainly seems to me like you are doing everything right. What I have noticed when it comes to a weight gain when I haven't done anything to earn it, is my body is about to drop that extra gain and a little bit extra. Don't give up!! It sounds like things are about to shift.

Stunning!

Personally, I did try them combined with the Raspberry Ketone pills but didn't see much results. Getting much better luck using portion control and the 5:2. PLUS it doesn't cost me anything every month.

I'm not too big on the outdoors stuff anymore but I love, love, love animals. Currently I own two dogs but walk four a day. Can't get enough. Congratulations on joining us on the site.

Hi, feel free to add me. I'm a vegan, previously vegetarian who ate fish and prior to that a Carnivore! There is also a group for people like us here as well.

I buy it at the health food store and some grocery stores. It is also called Food Yeast sometimes. I make a vegan italian wedding soup and use the nutritional yeast instead of parmesan cheese.

What an accomplishment. To know that you did this even while having to use insulin is a powerful message to everyone. Good for you and thanks for sharing.

Amazing results. I googled the calendar as you suggested and will look into tracking on that. I am doing Level 2 now and I'm happy with it but Level 3 is next week and that should get interesting. I have to say congratulations on doing such a good job. Your stats are incredible. Enjoy yourself.

Hi, Good for you for starting back here again. The support is behind you and your goals. I love your intolerance issues as well and anytime you want to connect, do so. Best of everything to you.

What a difference 17 lbs makes! Wow.

You can count me in if you like. I am new to weight lifting and cardio and am just about ready to get my toes wet. I think.

I am vegan. I was vegetarian and still ate fish and seafood but went completely vegan about three years ago. For me it was easy, I was motivated by some books on the ecological damage we are causing in the oceans and two minutes later I was vegan. That said, I needed to really get myself a variety of vegan cookbooks and…

Part of your question may be answerd if you read the book by Michael Moss - Salt Sugar Fat.

Number 5.

Welcome. You are not alone! This site is amazing.

I copied it and put it on my list of new things to try. Thank you.

Hi, I am a vegan who has been learning to love her veggies. They weren't always a first priority with me. I found many recipes on line and have purchased several books that I could recommend but the one that I'm enthralled with right now is a blog I found online. I am currently working my way through it and everything has…

Wow. Just as everyone else says - you look amazing and simply wonderfully healthy and happy.

I always pay my own way, even without eating steak (I'm vegan), I don't drink either, so there is really no reason to pay more than I consume. If they are good friends and you explain your rationale, I'm sure they won't think you rude. If they are just acquaintances, really, why would you share if you are not all having…

Hi, I am vegan and I have the same desire to have hot foods. I enjoy homemade chili, vegan chicken breasts with anything or in sandwiches with vegan mayo, beefless tips stirfrys and lots and lots of other good things. There are many, many recipes out there for really delicious hot vegetables. It's amazing. Enjoy.

Wow. You look fabulous. I just wanted to pipe in that I am doing the 5:2 as well and just love it. Welcome aboard! You really have worked hard and look great.
-
I did try them out for about two months. They may have helped me not gain but I didn't see any substantial weight loss. The diet/exercise routine using the 5:2 diet is working for me.

I am so sorry that your birthday dinner had such a nasty incident. Just remember that you are the most important person here and your health and happiness comes first. Let what was said go, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that you have chosen a new path. You can do this, it won't happen overnight, but it will…

Hi there. I am interested in friending other vegetarians/vegans. I am a vegan and started the 5:2 diet at the beginning of April. I love it and don't seem to have any difficulty with the fast days at all. Although everyone has their own diet story and likes/dislikes, I would probably be looking for support with food ideas…

Good for you for starting this new way of eating. I bought the book and it actually recommends myfitnesspas.com as a good tool to use for the two days you are monitoring your calories (the fast days). For a woman, any two days a week you want, you only consume 500 calories. It can be eaten all at once, as one meal, or…

You look really good! I started the 30DS about 2 weeks ago and, you're right, it works and makes you feel very good about yourself every time you finish. You're hard work is paying off, and I have to say that still being able to do the workouts, even after surgery, you are incredible. Congratulations.

A book called The Lean by Kathy Freston is quite helpful and includes a 30-day plan with recipes to help you "lean' into vegetarianism. I started with the Indian food too because I wasn't a big vegetable fan at the time. I have been completely vegan for 3 years now, finally giving up seafood and cheese.
