For me its when I stopped counting calories that I lost weight. I obsessed over every calorie and when the weight loss came to a halt, I quit. Then I slowly made changes like smaller portion sizes and than added exercise and I have successfully lost 86lbs over the last 7 months. Now that I am close to my goal weight, it is…

I actually beat my first goal. Years back when I was smaller I splurged on very expensive Joe Jeans. I kept those jeans and told myself I would one day get back into them. I did for awhile and now they are several sizes to big. My new goal is to hopefully get to a size 4 and buy a cute swimsuit for this summer and look and…

first off believe in yourself and believe that you can do it!! At my highest weight, I was 230. I started off full throttle and than quit for awhile when it became hard but than I started again by making slow changes. First thing I did was change my portion sizes; I switched from a regular size plate to a saucer, I never…

For me there is connection because when something bad is happening to you, we often search something to self-soothe. Food offers comfort and doesn't hurt you. It can often be used to fill a void or when your life seems out of control, its something you can control. I have been on both sides where I have over eaten and…

You are definitely not alone in it. It is sad how many children are affected by it. I hate saying it, but kids unfortunately make the perfect victim. I know with myself I came from a troubled home and the person who abused me told me he did it because he was "showing" me love and convinced me to keep it a secret. I was…

That's a very touchy topic for a lot of people. At 31, it still has power over me. I used food for comfort and fat as a shield. Now I am shedding the weight because as long as I have it, I AM STILL A VICTIM. As I shed the weight its forcing me to find strength inside myself not to hide anymore. Its a battle to break almost…

I'm giving myself a break on Superbowl Sunday, though I often find that my cheat days aren't that drastic as my appetite is not what it used to be. My biggest challenge will be Alcohol. Don't stress yourself over just enjoy the day and know its ok to indulge once in awhile. Go Seahawks!!

I'm a huge Seahawks fan and yup I watched his interviews last year. I get it he is a man of few words and is about that action but still I think its a cop-out, a funny cop-out though. I love Sherman he doesn't mince words and loves calling people out like he did with Peyton Manning last year lol. Can't wait for the…

I love ❤ me some marshawn lynch, but it irks me that even its stated clearly in his contract, in every NFL players contract, that he makes himself available to the media, he has a problem doing it. Yes every week that man puts his body on the line, but doing talking to the media is also part of his job, and how he…

It's hard. I walked around in my size 2x jacket that I was swimming in for months until my sisters threatens to burn it if I didn't get a new one lol. The scale may say your down x amount of pounds, but sometimes it takes awhile for your brain to catch up. One day you will look in the mirror and not recognize yourself and…

It also depends on your body type. People with a round stomach tend to have less loose skin than people with stomach rolls.

Lol that drives me crazy too

My boobs sadly are always the first thing to go when I lose weight. I went from a 40d to a 34b. Victoria's Secret push up bras will be my new best friend...

I am ocd lol, so I weigh myself every morning after using the bathroom of course and sometimes at night to drive myself crazy. When I'm not in a plateau, I do know that I lose about 4-6oz on the days I workout and 2-4oz on the days I don't. That data is the only helpful thing about weighing myself everyday, lol I wish I…

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat it is just denser. Basically 5 pounds of fat would take up more volume than 5 pounds of muscle. They both weigh the same, fat just takes up more space. Not contradicting you author just giving details from my own research.

I had bad knee and ankle and foot pain when I was heavier and I have seen a huge improvement in pain. I think the exercise and especially yoga, really helped with the improvement and of course not having all that weight helped too.

The first half was hard...its all about adjusting to a different lifestyle. Your eating different and exercising. Your constantly looking for change in your weight and body so you know what your doing is working. The second half is all about the glory and triumph. You can exercise and its not torture, any aches and pains…

My cheek bones look amazing and one that scared me was I can feel my heart beat in my stomach. I thought something was wrong but my doctor laughed and said it was normal in smaller people.

There are so many!! The collar bones and arm pit thing threw me off!! My breasts are small but more perky, pregnancy and breastfeeding and age had them sagging, now they stand to attention without a bra. My knees and hips are bony, my thighs no longer rub together and the best one is I'm no longer in double digit clothing…

I'm the same way. I think of it as a lifestyle and long term. I don't deprive myself and eat what I want in moderation. I have successfully lost over 70 pounds.

I am a final fantasy junkie and have logged thousands of hours of play time, especially ff8, which took me forever to beat. I hate the newer ones though, the game play sucks. I have read over 20,000 books for pleasure. And have often cried when I lost or given away books. My eBooks take up more space on my phone than…

A line a guy gave me that I thought was hilarious: "does your name start with a K?" Me: No why? Guy: Cuz with that *kitten* you got me thinking your a Kardashian." Just for laughs: One time I turned down a guy and he called me an ice princess and said I was so cold I should be from Alaska. I laughed so and told him I was…

This is my second go on here. Last time I tried, I got so frustrated because I was working and eating the recommend calories and at one point started gaining weight. Being hypothyroid is very frustrating. Your levels can be normal and you can still struggle with symptoms and weight issues...
