  • I'm sorry to hear this. I had a back injury for a year that didn't allow me to work out. I am gradually getting back into doing physical activity. I walk three times a week and burn about 150-200 calories at it. This helps a lot. Is there other low-impact exercise you can do?
  • Salad and soup and you can hardly ever go wrong. :) Always ask for salad dressing on the side. Always choose baked rather than fried for meat. Stay away from pastas because these tend to be calorie-dense. Opt out from not getting dessert. Another tip is to choose an appetizer on the menu. It is usually cheaper and less…
  • I love MFP!! Get some friends on here who can support you and give feedback to your food choices and exercise. :) Have fun!!
  • Yes!!!! This rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Oh jeez that's hard to know for sure. I think I am a huge emotional eater too. My weight has yoyoed ever since I was 13 from stress. The thing I have to remember here on out is it is so much harder to lose weight than to gain it. Gaining weight is easy -- you don't even have to think about it, which is precisely why you…
  • I am 5'4" maybe with a medium frame. I started at 166 and now I weigh 145. My goal is 125. I have been 125 before and I can do it again. :) Good luck on your journey!

  • We always need motivation to stay on track throughout this process. Good luck and I know you'll do it!
  • Are your shoes too tight? That might be the problem.
  • Cool! Feel free do add me if you'd like... welcome to MFP!
  • Are you eating the calories you're exercising off? I always eat mine... but maybe try a week without eating your exercise deficit?
  • Physical therapy is really good for learning how to get correct posture. I've been learning how to sit correctly and stuff. It is quite hard! I'm sitting in a bad position right now lol. From my experience no exercises "make" you stay in a specific position. It's just developing a level of body awareness and actually…
  • I don't know where this quote comes from but I love it "nothing tastes as good as thin feels."
  • You can do iiiittttt!!!
  • Welcome to MFP! Good luck on your weight loss journey!

  • & If other people were overeating in the past and stopped then I can too! Other people on the forum are such an inspiration because I can see the odds they've beat. :)
  • I've been worried about eating disorder type of thing in the past but I never thought that I had one. I'm thinking that maybe since it's related to anxiety it could very well be the start of one. It runs in the family. But anyway I'm trying to learn how to diet healthily... I hope I'm doing it correctly haha. I overeat by…
  • I'm looking for friends on MFP... anyone can add me if you'd like. :) Friends help keep each other in check and for support!

  • Moonbeam: I think no one is supposed to eat under 1200 calories a day? Everyone's calories are to each their own body though. I am eating 1400 but it was recommended as how much I was supposed to eat by mfp. I know it's the right amount of food, I just have trouble with overeating lol.
  • Snacking at night in moderation is okay. Maybe keep it under 200 calories and I doubt you'll still be hungry later.
  • You look so vibrant, healthy, and beautiful!! Great job!!!!
  • It is possible that you could actually not be eating enough calories to lose weight. Your body might be in starvation mode. I am eating 1400 calories a day and I weigh 145. So I'm thinking that maybe at your weight you should be eating around 1600? Try it at least for a week and see if it works. :) Also, as you lose more…
  • Thank you so much. :) Also WTG on your weight loss too!
  • Also ~ if you feel like writing your own fun little poem, or even someone else's about weight loss go right ahead! Or an inspirational quote of some kind. Anything to keep up that positive vibe!
  • Sometimes people can be surprised to learn that not enough calories/not enough fat in a diet can actually stop weight loss. I don't know if this is what's going on in your case but it is something to think about.
  • Thank you much! It's hard work but I'm getting there.
  • Also I started recording my extra calories as being for tomorrow (today).
  • OOOO.. this is a tricky one because I'm doing the same thing right now and trying to figure out what to do LOL. I have to stay up all night for my finals. Ummm... I would say eat small and healthy fiber filled snacks like fruit. Also I'm drinking lots of tea with caffeine in it. Looopppyyy. It's not a good habit to do…
  • Hi.. it's nice to meet you. :) I've lost 20 pounds so far... 20 more to go. We can do it!
