A quick source of sodium, I buy ramen noodles, keep the flavor packets & toss the noodles...they are so cheap I have no guilt w/ wasting them. I make a cup of hot water & stir the powder into it at work, usually can get about 3-4 cups of broth out of one packet (small foam coffee cups). I typically stir in a tablespoon or…

I enjoy Tumaro's lc wraps, the "NY" style or whatever they call them, are like everything bagels...usually eat these maybe once a month, sometimes only a half of a wrap at a time. Great for a quick breakfast burrito on the weekend. These are "net" low-carb. TUMAROS

your screenname is not indicative of this... ;)

mine hasn't changed, I mostly flare w/ spicy food...which I love I'm also noticing a pattern w/ my hormonal cycle as well. *sigh*

how did you make this into a "taco"? or was it just piled on a plate?
-
burping or the occassional fart would remedy this.

had sushi & sashimi last week...he did make me a spicy tuna roll w/o rice, kinda like a handroll. Was actually enjoyable.

I weigh every Fri morning. I bought sticks way back in '09, used for novelty mostly, I don't bother these days. They definitely expire and weaken over time. They also must be handled properly, always in a sealed container, out of the air/light, as this will weaken them as well...IIRC Even if the sticks say you're in…

ask for steamed chicken with vegetables, sauce on the side...even if you don't see it on menu, ask. They typically can make it

once every Friday morning.

Buy one package to try first. I made the mistake of buying multiple packs for a deal & threw the balance away after trying the first bag. Not for me, I'd rather eat rubber bands.

also a slim chance the lettuce you ate wasn't rinsed properly/or treated w/ something that you are sensitive to... but yeah, eat more

I like a small spoon of peanut butter w/ a small squirt of redi whip & a shake of cinnamon on top...for a sweet quick fix or like I mentioned, a small square of dark choco...also good w/ a dip in PB ;)

@nortonme this is my favorite crustless quiche: 3 c shredded zucchini (squeeze dry between towels) 1/2 c chopped onion (saute until soft in a small amt of butter or oil) 1/2 c shredded cheddar 1/2 c grated romano cheese (or parm) 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp oil Mix zucchini,…

nuts, hard boiled egg, cheese stick, pepperoni, lunchmeat rolled up w/ sliced cheese, pork rinds, pickles, mini quiche made in a muffin tin, baked cheese crisps (shredded cheese baked until crisp)...small square of dark chocolate, etc

I like King Arthur better than Bob's...it's a finer texture. Not as easy to find though. Bob's goes for about $14 @ the health food store here, but I found it @ Walmart for $8.99.

x3 the following two days will be bar/restaurant hopping overnight in Pittsburgh...spoiling ourselves with small bites and flavors. We've busted our butts since New Years for this getaway, can't wait!

I would put that in my face hole

I can't really advise you on your macros, but as far as your symptoms go... There's no way 3 days into the diet (or any diet) will cause this, unless it was an underlying condition. Commonly, cracking of the mouth can be caused by malnourishment (what was your diet like prior to the low carb?), vitamin deficiencies, yeast…

I think you had it right the first time, exactly how I interpreted too. I don't think $60 for 3 meals for two is all that bad...I was curious as well, mostly because there doesn't seem like there would be much of any waste with these "kits". Assuming enough for each meal & no leftovers? Do they come w/ complete nutrition…

Cottage cheese with fruit or berries is a good alternative to yogurt

appx 95 difference...been a while since the loss, not looking back.

I like to add a splash of vanilla extract & a sprinkling of chopped walnuts. Cook these low & slow, don't be in a hurry or you'll have a mess.

I picked up some 73/27 @ Walmart last week to add to my elk chili, pleasantly surprised to find it. putting a chunky pat of butter in the center of your burger before grilling is a super tasty way to up your fat as well.

I walk on my lunch hour, weather permitting & the gym is less than mile from work...I stop on my way home. I also stay out of the break room, drink a ton of water & eat at my desk. The work stress WILL NOT rule my life...and believe me, there's plenty of it

I already did. Besides the admitted discouragement and desperation (in only one week???), other reasons to consider a different diet is the fact that you've barely been on it a week & (if I remember correctly) Adkins requires a strict two-week induction, to which it clearly has not been followed. TWO WEEKS, that's a short…

yeah, but meatballs are notoriously filled w/ bread-type fillers, sometimes more than actual meat...that's why they are so tender (and freaking delicious). In that instance, the sausage would be the better choice. Don't be afraid to ask for something special/specific or not shown on the menu, most places are happy to…

Are you keeping a food diary? Do you weigh your foods? Even if you did have that initial loss (of water), once those glycogen stores are depleted the loss will slow, and sometimes by quite a bit. You seem like you might not have the patience for this ("desperate to lose weight") and I'm not convinced this is the right plan…
