The closer you are to goal the slower it will come off, no matter what diet you are following. Also something to take into consideration, where you are in your monthly hormonal cycle. I find the week before my period, I don't lose a thing & then the first two weeks following, I can lose mad weight...it evens out for the…

The body can efficiently convert proteins to glucose when needed. Dietary carbs are not the ONLY source of glucose for the body.

join both of these groups, plenty of ideas in there: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto

She was retaining, not releasing water, due to the circumstances listed. No offense, but your statement is invalid in this case. What I was suggesting was to rid the excess retention. Period. If your daily water intake is high, yes, you will need additional sodium/electrolytes to make up for what is being flushed from your…

After steady/strict low-carbing, I can't do anything sugar-laden. I love cake, but it's not worth a half day on the toilet after the indulgence.

this group as well...read, ask questions http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto

No worries. I know there is a lot of unsolicited, discouraging advice and threads end up completely derailed, when ppl are only looking for simple answers to low carb questions in the main forums. It's actually been a lot milder lately than what I've seen in the past. I hate to see ppl really wanting to try it out this way…

I think you are misreading. Nobody is discouraging anyone here...the first week or two is not magical low carb diet results. What Yirara posted is factual truth and in no way are they suggesting an alternative diet or to avoid low carb, but only to recognize where this "magical' loss came from. I've been low-carb/keto…

I cook (boil) a chunk of onion with my chicken because I can't stand raw onion in it...I chop up the cooked onion along w/ the cooked chicken. I always use dill, celery & I enjoy chopped walnuts as well. Local place puts a small amount of small-diced green bell pepper in their chicken walnut salad, I kinda like that too. I…

love these w/ some french onion chip dip!

this! I'd skip the weights/resistance for those four weeks, you're not going to lose much, if any muscle in that amount of time.

call me a purist, but I prefer traditional hot dogs not hot dog patties. ;) oh...and

mmmmm watermelon

Those foods you've listed are high in sodium & w/ little to no water intake, I'm sure you're retaining. I'd look & feel like a balloon after that. Pound the water, eat lower sodium foods...enjoy some asparagus, it will help rid you of excess water as well.

whoa oven, brilliant!

I was assuming the shell might cause them to explode, excess moisture being held in by the shell & then expanding w/ the heat. Ten seconds is a starting point (the mic @ work is scortching hot @ 10 sec, home takes a little longer), I'd recommend only a few seconds at a time after that point until it's favorable for you.…

I try to ignore the cravings & just stomp angrily around the house.

Mine always turn out great, love them with chopped walnuts too, always add a splash of vanilla extract as well. The key I've found is cooking them low & slow...and don't make them too big. Pour into pan & go make some coffee...

how the heck long are you guys microwaving these for???
-
I prefer mine warm too. I peel & keep boiled eggs in fridge. When I want one, I wrap it in a papertowel & 10 SECONDS in microwave warms it up enough for me. I've never had any explode btw. OP, did you peel the shells first?

it sounds like a habit that just needs to be broken.

that's what a whole bacon looks like!

to each his own. OP, try these two groups, do a lot of reading and ask questions. What you've described will have you struggling and will end up being hard on your body: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group

I generally order my meals out "low sodium"...or I tell them no salt. As far as salad dressings go, a plain oil & vinegar is a great option as well. But yeah, if he's telling you that your diet is "not his problem"...it's also fair to tell him, his last minute "I want to go out to eat", is also not your problem.

carbs look ok, but dang, that's a crap ton of calories!

I was always under the impression that it was having excess food/liquids in your stomach (just like a mom saying no swimming for 1/2 hour after eating). It has remedied it for myself by doing my cardio on an empty stomach, particularly no liquids, or very little. Science? dunno...I could be wrong...probably am...meh

Cottage cheese & green beans. Slaw is an option, but usually loaded w/ sugar.

being a woman, where you are in your monthy hormonal cycle plays a big part as well. Something else to consider when you don't see expected losses.
