Thank you everyone, I don't log my food, thank you for your advice, I sent a few messages 1 Although it's a difficult thing to come to terms with I actually think giving away alcohol and chocolate is probably the best thing for me. As I've previously said I have very little self control, if it's there I'll eat it or drink…

Average 150 miles with 12-15000 feet of climbing, I live on a volcanic island so it's up or down, top of the hill is 10,000 feet up from my house. I weigh 200lb and I ride hard

How do I calculate it correctly ? Winter here is short, it's not so much the cold 16c it drops too it's more the wind chill when you are cycling, now is better, low 20's (it's still winter).

I use a wahoo computer on my bike with HR that's where my calorie estimate comes from, any other exercise is insignificant so I don't log it. I don't understand your last sentence.

I'd guess stress will affect things. Losing 9lb week 1 is huge My experience suggests 4for women and 7 for men, the second week can be stagnant then 3-4lbs a week is usually achievable thereafter. Use an electrolyte tablet daily. Hope that helps

Wow, 157 that is some achievement, I'd say if you can do it once you can do it again. I hope to follow in your footsteps, I'm currently 228 and 157 would be good.

So 20lbs X 3500cals = 70,000 calories 14 weeks X 7 days = 98 days 98 days X 2100 (maintenance calories) 205800 So 205800- 70,000 (to lose) = 135800 135800 divide by 98 days = 1386 Eat only 1386 calories a day and you'll achieve your goal, I don't think you'll enjoy your holiday though.

Think about how long you've been attempting to move the pounds and what you've achieved (not a lot) so for the future think of it as a rest of your life lifestyle, adjust things so you lose weight but concentrate on the weaker moments, the moments when we put weight on. Stop the weight going on and in time the weight will…

Because at 220 I was fat, the worst part over the last six years I've abused my body even more, I'm now 236 I'm very fat, hate the look, I sweat, I'm out of breath, I can't even manage my shoe laces properly. Why do I abuse myself? Why do I sabotage any weight loss?

@ BZAH10 Wow, I can't think what reason. We moved here 7 years ago, so no family close by, I called my sister, she is so nice, but never single. I feel it's wrong to burden my son's with this. Thanks for your words

You'll save so much time and money working out at home, it's way better than any gym. Count the cost of membership, fuel and time, that in itself is motivation to stay at home.
