When people say run further they should also give you some idea of what distance, I would suggest 5 miles once a week, everything else 3 miles or less, on one of your 3 milers try running slowly for 1.5 (warm up) then 200 metre sprints, 200 metre recovery jog and repeat + cool down & stretch

What’s long distance? I’m arranging a few rides for my mates and some of them are questioning the distances.

Focus on fitness not food as you get fitter you’ll find you’ll turn to the gym or running in order to de stress rather than food. You need to alter your food to alter your weight but try and take the focus away from food by concentrating on a healthier body.

Follow a schedule Enjoy what your doing Don’t push too hard or overtrain injury will set you back a long way. Use protein shakes as recovery after big runs. Walk more on your none running days Enjoy it

It's ok to go over your calories, don't make it a big issue, yes it might slow the journey down but don't let it stress you, alternatively you could earn those calories take up walking or jogging, go lift a few weights. Try and enjoy the journey.

It is possible that due to your restrictions 1400 cals that your body is then trying to protect itself so it is storing every possible extra (starvation mode) one bad day can take up to 2 weeks to rectify. Weight loss requires consistency, good luck

It's really easy to eat keto, and if like me you can't be bothered to be strict with the carb intake all you need to do is exercise to burn the extra carbs, do the exercise as close to feeding time as possible

@sijomial thanks I didn't even know strava showed calories I've just looked it says 3372 & 3367 still incredibly high. I will try and adjust something that makes it come out at 2500 thanks guys. 2500 calories seems quite high I should still be a stick insect.
