  • for the record... (since i posted my first cars) here's my present vehicle... (yes, i still prefer to buy older cars *L*) 2001 Acura 3.5RL (pic taken Dec 26/11... which means i didn't mind having my pic taken beside a car anymore because i was no longer the larger of the 2 items in the pic *LOL*)
  • ha!!! i loved mine... cannot beleive that i was so stupid at one point i traded it in on a gran torino station wagon of all things *LOL* hey, i was young, stupid, and had a toddler... felt i was supposed to be driving a more 'sensible' car i guess... i still miss that convertible though!

  • personal experience... and at the risk of some folks wanting to smack me... i was married... for 20 years... a piece of paper is just a piece of paper... it meant nothing to my (then) husband.. who often had affairs, then promised to change. Obviously he never did. Now i am divorced and i swore i would never ever EVER get…
  • this! .. but with definite Sheldon tendencies (ie: long winded, detailed explanations and facts no one really wants to hear *LOL*)
  • i eat chocolate... seriously! often my bedtime ritual is a small (ie a single square of good dark chocolate, prefereably 70% cocoa), savoured slowly, one nibble at time melting on my tongue, no chewing *L* it's amazing how long it lasts that way, plus it's low in calories, very low in sodium, full of antioxidents, and so…
  • it's been my main exercise too ... and my 13 year old husky, Kita, has benefited from it too since she is my walking partner. Both her and i have gone from getting winded from just 2 blocks, to nice long walks at a lovely brisk pace easily. Unfortunately i think she is starting to feel her age a little more now, our 30 min…
  • 55 year old in Alberta, originally from Bermuda. Living now in Edmonton. Overweight my entire life (in fact obese for most of my life, even as a child) i always believed what my mum told me, that our family was 'big boned' and we were all just doomed to be overweight anyway. (yes, she died in her 60s, prematurely imo, due…

  • when i switched to a new scale there was more than a 5 pound difference... (i made sure to weigh myself on old scale before getting on new scale)... knowing i was going to be using new scale all the time was disheartening (a lil) because the difference was a higher weight than my old scale was showing L*).. but it all…
  • this! once i started eating more, and more nutritious foods, not junk, also keeping my sodium in control, PLUS more water than mfp recommends whenever possible, i was WAY more successful, and i have proven to myself that IS what it takes, for me.
  • Just because it is frozen does not mean poor quality. Years ago i used to make all my own bread and i used to freeze some unbaked as well. It is a perfectly valid method of preservation (freezing) that keeps food just fine with minimal loss of nutrients, and means not alot of preservatives need be added. I would imagine…

  • a shame they did not think of taking their tax return to one of those accountants that will 'buy' your return.. basically giving you the majority of your return as a cheque right then and there, no waiting... It would have solved their problem. i personally would recommend they take the copy of their tax return, and…

  • frozen chocolate bar absolutely delicious!!! 1/2 medium banana, mashed stir in: 1/4 tsp vanilla 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder (not hot choc mix) 1/2 pkg individual size splenda 1/3 cup instant non-fat powdered milk (less works fine too as most of the calories are in this powdered milk) once mixed together, stir in: 1/3…

Major congrats!!!
