  • Nice things I like to do for my hubby.... cook breakfast or dinner. for a hobby, actually im getting more into cooking new meals so that too lol.
  • I've never seen the show myself, but I've heard good things about one called 'fit to fat to fit.' I still need to look into that one. Theres one I've been watching on Hulu called 'downsize me,' its an older british show but I liked how it didn't put so much pressure on the 'loser' and taught them more about the importance…
  • When I see 'you, yes you' all I can think of is the pink floyd song, 'another brick on the wall' :)
  • Thank you for your response. You're right - I will have to pay attention to who my most active friends are that actually post statuses and delete those who aren't as communicative.
  • Put them in a sealed container and they should keep for a few weeks at the very least. You mean the ones you bake, or prepackaged, ready to eat? Baked goods can be frozen and then unthawed and still taste great. Packaged goods usually stay good for a few weeks at least. Cut them into small portions and freeze them. Move a…
  • Good information all packed into one post :) Thanks for sharing!
  • Yea looks like I may have to delete some inactive people.
  • I'm not sure why the responses here are so hostile. I'm simply asking if anyone may know of a filter add-on for firefox, since it has been noted that MFP does not have a feature for filtering statuses.
  • Didn't know that happened. A moderator must have moved my first post because when I checked back here my discussion was gone so I thought maybe it didn't go through.
  • Lol thanks for your insight. Yes, I go through all of the updates from 441 people (less because I do have some inactive friends). I can't stop being a cheerleader for people though, its in my blood!! lol. On another note, I've been fooling around with AdBlock Plus's Element Hiding Helped Add on for firefox. I can hide the…
  • Not trying to be harsh, but it just spams my feed. Its all good that they are using the diary and everything, but so are many people on MFP and its nothing special to me that they complete it. However, I like reading posts that they type about their day or needing advice or whatever. Those are more meaningful to me, and…
  • Set very small goals for yourself along the way. Maybe 5 lbs at first, or going down 1 pants size. Little things like this will keep you motivated the whole way through. And whenever you hit those milestones, set a new one. Also set some mentally challenging goals such as denying a doughnut or pizza or cake at work, or…

  • I dont know where you're ordering from, but some places let you pick light sauce, light cheese, etc. Maybe you could order a pizza like that? I know pizza hut also has 'skinny' pizza that is less calories.
  • I feel that the community here is very supportive and it a huge part of what makes people successful. I know connecting with individuals who had the same goals as me helped me through my weight loss journey.
  • Well said. I'm maintaining now, and I have to keep up with the same healthy habits I formed during my weight loss, and new ones to keep me challenged and motivated.
  • I don't add anyone without profile pictures, I'm sure other people don't either. Its also nice to give a brief introduction about yourself and why you're here. Personally, I've been using MFP for over a year now, and I chose my friends carefully. I like to make friends with people who are serious about their health and…
  • My favorite quick snacks are Nature Valley's protein bars (190 cals with 10g of protein) and Kirkland's (Costco) Steak Strips (60 cals per ounce with 9g of protein). If you want to be satisfied, chose snacks high in protein. I also enjoy Wheat Thins, Triscuits, BabyBel light cheese, peanuts, and raisins.
  • I know how you feel about that! I don't mind the like button, but I do love to have friends that are interactive and at least post a 'good job!' or something. I try to comment on my friends statuses as much as I can, but I make sure to at least like them to let them know I've read it. Anyone can add me if they like! :)
  • I've never logged gum, mints, tootsie rolls, little tiny candies like that. I've lost 95 lbs.
  • About 2 months. I lost a total of 95 lbs.
  • Don't know how low cal you're looking for, but I bought double chocolate cookies from the walmart bakery pretty often and would eat 1 for a desert. They're 150 calories each, and they have other types of cookies.
  • Home-cooked cheeseburger with french fries, I had it about once-twice a week during my weight loss journey, kinda on the not so healthy side, though. My favorite more healthy meal would probably be protein pancakes, but it was still rather high in calories.
  • the kashi cereal has more healthy ingredients, and the protein will keep you satisfied longer. Look into Special K protein cereal if you want another option with protein. I wouldn't eat any cereals with sugar as the first ingredient, even if it is lower calorie. But when it comes to weight loss, its all about calories…
  • I dont have big breasts but I bought a Puma brand one from Costco and I love it, I feel very supported. I found a similar one at (I think) Charlotte Rouse, but it wasn't Puma brand.
  • I do the exact same thing. I started maintenance around Valentine's day, so I stocked up on Reece's, Snickers, Twix, and Kit-Kat snack size candy bars when they went on sale. I also bought a snack pack assortment of Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and Nutter Butters. I haven't started on any of those yet. I have a variety of Girl Scout…
  • if so, probably not a lot. also it depends on how much extra weight you're carrying and how long you carried that weight (the degree of which your skin is already stretched, basically). your age is another important factor. I lost 90 lbs in the past 13 months and I have a little bit of loose skin, but everyone's progress…
  • I had many failed and half *kitten* attempts at losing weight in the past. January 2015 was the time I actually succeeded. It was new years, we all know how it is then. Every year I would get a little burst of motivation to lose weight and usually fall through around February. However, around that time, my jeans were…
  • Depends on the dog. I have a small dog and he gets enough exercise just running around the house, so I don't need to take him for walks, but he does enjoy coming along anyways.
  • thanks for sharing. I liked the statistics in it. I actually have begun maintenance not long ago and have already picked up on some of these habits along the way, which aided me in my weight loss and now aid me in maintenance.
  • Anytime is a good time. Whenever you feel the most energetic but also have the time to do it. No one time is more beneficial than any other time. Most days I'm busy until evening, so I do my workout after dinner, but it works well for me because my dinner gives me energy and fuels my workout.
