  • I am 5'3" (and will be 32 this month! Gargh!) and around 142/141 lbs. I have weighed this amount for years, although I look so much smaller now than when I started my workout journey last year. While the weight hasn't realyl changed, my body fat percentage has dropped dramatically. Ideally I'd love to get to 125, but I am…
  • We spend about $100-$120 per week for 2 adults. That is including one takeout meal that we usually split. This does not include occassional purchases, like Protein Powder or Quest Bars. We bring breakfast and lunch to work, and don't really have proper dinners during the week (I get home rather late from the gym and then…
  • Haha thanks. I just still look 'big'...or at least bigger than I was hoping to be by this point (in no way am I saying that I am really big. Just bigger than it would like to be). I am really happy with the fat loss and I know I look better, but I can definitely get trimmer to an extent. I mean, I am talking like and inch…
  • May I also suggest that you purchase some dresses? They can handle some weight loss (mayb adding a belt) and still look ok. Pants get that sloppy look when they get too big. Now that the season is ending, you can also find things on deep discount at places like Old Navy, LOFT, Target, etc. Just add tights/a cardigan for…
  • The rest thing probably pulls the most weight. Maybe I can remove a workout day now and again and take a break
  • Maybe it has to do with being 5'-3" I had one magical day when I woke up at 140.8....but I've been back in the 141.5-142.5 world ever since.
  • Hahaha, they were the ONLY 10 lbs! I lately have been 'aiming' for 1700 per day total (TDEE)...so some days I am at 1650, some at 1800...but averaging to about 1700 per day for the week. On a brighter note, I was able to deadlift more than my bodyweight this Sunday, and I am closing in on my bodyweight with squats (15 lbs…
  • Yeah- I just noticed a nice difference in early June...but since then, not much. I just do not know what else to do! Adjust macros?
  • Maybe a TRX system at home may be helpful to you?
  • My original post had my general workout week- mix of cardio (mostly kickboxing/spin) mixed with weights (Stronglifts 3x per week plus one day of HIIT/circuit type training)
  • DO you have space at home? You can always just buy your own rack and work out on your own
  • Wow I just sent a 30 day log to the nutritionist who works at my endocrinologist's office to see if she could spot anything that I was missing. Her response "I reviewed the nutrient distribution and totals. Excellent work at tracking and measuring. If no weight loss has been achieved, I would consider a more drastic…
  • Why must you stay in the 'female section'? I just go to the main weight room (where the population IS mostly male) and lift
  • Greek yogurt, jerkey (turkey, beef, Trader Joe's even has salmon), protein bars, beans, eggs
  • I do but I also make sure that I do this at home- with things like apples and cherries, you are not eating part of the fruit (pit, core, etc) So at home, I will weight everything, then weigh what is left. I use that percentage as my reference when packing my lunches, etc. So if my cherries add up to about 105 grams, in my…
  • Nah, I like to walk around with my scale weight displayed for everyone to see. Kidding! Kidding! But seriously, it is not like I don't have 10-15 lbs to lose! Clothes are fitting better, old jeans that didn't fit do fit now....but I have hit a stalling point where I am not getting smaller. And I don't think I can get much…
  • FRIO packs are what I travel with for my Humalog. If just for a weekend, I let it stay room temp and put it in my liquids bag
  • Interesting- my sister can usually tell within 10-20 minutes, as there is an immediate bathroom run!
  • My sister is celiac and VERY sensative to any cross contamination. By labeling meats, etc- it means that the meat hasn't come into contact with gluten in a processing plant, etc. It assures the consumer that there has been no possible cross contamination.
  • It is difficult (I travel for work quite a bit- and thanks to TSA rules, I can't even bring my favorite yogurt with me in my carryon!). If you are on a road trip, hit the grocery stores as needed and grab Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. You can prepack your protein bars. One of the best things to hit, if there is one, is…
  • I keep Trader Joe's individual servings of trail mix in my desk as well as their turkey jerky for snacks.
  • You can switch out the type of cake/ice cream. I really like the Edy's Slow Churned Yogurt blends. 120 calories and 3.5 grams of fate in a 1/2 cup serving of my flavor of choice.
  • It depends where you are starting from...I had been doing 3x5 and other weight things for a while, so I followed the program as written. I know he talked about his girlfriend starting it with more kettlebells and dumbbells and then progressing ot the bar

  • I'd make 'smart' choices, but don't go crazy- you walk so much at Disney! And I always bring my own snacks wherever I go (esp overpriced places), so I'd bring some snacks and just enjoy
  • Love Fage- Costco often has a variety pack for a reasonable amount You can also get the large tub and divvy it out yourself
  • Do you have kettlebells? They are fairly inexpensive and might fit the bill for the sit up work (plus, you only need 1!)- I know I do work with the kettlebell over my head during crunches, use it for twists and around the worlds, and it works well
  • Yes, both my basal and bolus rates change throughout the day. My I:C ratio at breakfast is higher in the morning than in the afternoon/evening. However, my basal rate is incredibly low overnight and is at its highest around noon. I also find that I need less insulin in the hot weather of summer (and my sugars tend to be…
  • I typically do some form of cardio acceleration (twice a week), but when I travel for work, I do the 7 minute HIIT workout in my hotel room (usually for 4 loops)- that app is great for travel!
  • I have not had this experience, but my husband has...he was pretty miserable after drinking that stuff....like, pooping all night
