Mary, Just start clicking on things and looking around. Are you just starting on the site as a whole, or just starting on the community part?

Don't know if it's allowed or in your time or budget...but what if you showed up with the cookies or treat? Make a batch of healthier cookies and bring some to share with them? Then you know exactly what's in them, can plan for them, and can still be eating with them and making them feel comfortable. Have no idea if this…

Mix some of your favorite herbs or spices into plain greek yogurt and use for celery dip. Great snack.

Hello, I joined a couple of weeks ago. I can relate to seeing a new dr. I saw a new one yesterday and her wide eyes of unbelief as we discussed my weight and health said it all. I'm glad to have a new dr. who will be compassionate, honest, and helpful!

Hello Sharon. I have a lot in common with you. Same weight to lose and same health issues and just getting started with exercise as well. Would love to have any of you ladies as friends.

I joined about a week ago and have been looking through the site a lot and finding so much beautiful inspiration! I turn 50 in 2 weeks and was thrilled to find a group of women "of the same age" with such wisdom and positive encouragement. Looking forward to being part of the group!

I skip making the ice cream and and having to clean a processor. I just slice a banana in a bowl, stick it in the freezer for a bit (depending on how hard you want it), top with a LITTLE choc. syrup.

Portobella Pizzas (for those who like mushrooms) Heat oven to 375. Spray tops of a couple of large portobella mushroom caps with non-stick spray. Bake for 10 min. Take out. Remove excess liquid. Top with pizza sauce, onion, green peppers, mozzarella and parmesan cheese (whatever toppings you like) and bake for another 10…

Maybe start with something that can just be silly and not worry about looking right. Wii Just Dance is just fun. Many are free on YouTube. Just dance along, start working up a sweat and be silly on purpose!!! No one telling you how it's supposed to look. Then, when you're in the groove move on to more "official" workouts.

My favorite: 32 oz. container plain nonfat yogurt...mix in one pkg. of fat-free, sugar-free Jello cheesecake pudding mix. (Don't make the pudding, just mix the powder with the yogurt.) Tastes as close to cheesecake as I've found. Great with fruit. I freeze in in mini muffin cups for a cold treat during the summer.

I also make Crockpot Chicken except I toss in a can of green chili's also. It's great. We make a second meal by tossing leftover chicken into warmed corn tortillas, roll, cover with enchilada sauce and sprinkle on a little cheese if you want. Top with lettuce, tomato, sour cream...whatever you prefer. Super easy!
