@skippygirlsmom That's AWESOME!!!

I finally finished the 15 pages I was behind. Not much to report. I was doing well on my streak til new years but I got sick. I have strep. After the dr came yesterday saying I had strep, I said "Can I still run?" She didn't look amused. Must not be a runner.

Great story!!! Got all the feels going.

I love alpacas!

I did the cardinal sin this morning. Forgot to stop the watch when I came in to stretch after my run. It says the last .3 miles I did took 27 minutes and made the average time for my short run at 15.07 min mile. Booo. Oh well. I had a good feeling short run this morning. Well, for the energy and breathing wise. Every…

Me too!!! that is COLD! I'm such a wuss.

@WandaVaughn I am used to be a lot better with cold. This year from losing almost 50 pounds, I am cold ALL the TIME!!! It could be the thyroid, but it could be the loss of insulation and your body just not knowing what to do. I have heard that it regulates itself back out but if you are still in the losing phase, it may…

Yike. I am glad that it is an indoor swim...just getting from the indoor pool to the outdoor bike will be fun. LOL!
-
@Elise4270 Thanks! It is local. Keller. It is in March. Probably should have thought about that one a little harder as it will probably be wicked cold. (Well cold in us southern's perspective @MNLittleFinn @JessicaMcB @sarahthes ) LOL. Come down and do it with me!!!! We could pick a few days to train together between now…

I registered for my 1st triathlon today. Eeekkk!!! I should have got up and ran this morning because the wind has kicked and will be killer later. Glute/hamstring is coming along well, but today I am feeling it. Yesterday was PT and strength training. Wildlife: We don't have a whole lot of it besides billions of bunnies…

Even the same height!!! Awwwhhh, there is hope to be 150! Ha! Do you lift? I'm probably a bit older, but still kicking @$$.
-
@garygse I know it's not an easy jaunt but the pool at my work as one of those resistance whirlpool things you could use.
-
So sorry to hear this!!! I hope you can be distracted, and at least it's the cold months you will be out. I mean "cold" for Texas.
-
Great job! My starting weight is the same as yours! I am about 45 pounds down and wondering if I could ever get to 150. How tall are you?
-
@MobyCarp thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about your runs. I am really taking your advise and thoughts into account on my runs lately. Coming back and building base from an injury is rough. This morning, I might have been able to go longer, but I am glad I took my walking breaks like I should and stayed on the…

You are killing it! Way better than I can jump. I about die after 10 at the 12". I took a faceplant at the gym here at work about a month ago. This is the gym where the police officers train. YEP, full of cops. At least they know emergency response procedures. I wasn't hurt really, just my pride with 10 officers standing…

I have a high school friend that was there when she crossed the finish line. He didn't run the full 100 but part of it.

This is AWESOME!! I love the outlook and I love the song lyrics changed to fit you! You look awesome. So inspirational.
-
@Elise4270 I am so sorry about yesterday! I forgot to message you and was so far behind on the thread that I didn't even see you tag me. Booo!!! When you come down again, let me know. I will take some time to go run, swim, walk, whatever!
-
Haha. Me too!! It was 53 out yesterday morning and I had gloves because my hands were so cold. I had a long sleeve tech shirt and capri length shorts on but ran back to get gloves. Such a wimp , I am.
-
This exactly!!! It usually rains and freezes and makes things impossible to maneuver. And then everyone loses their minds. LOL.
-
@Elise4270 This is how I feel!!! I am going to do my big warmup when I get home and then try just 1 mile. And then come home and do the rest of my PT workout/stretches. Then I will see how much farther I can go. Then ride on Sunday. I am doing a lunch swim on Monday if you want to head over. I work in Irving!!!

I think I am finally caught up really all the way! Whoo! Being busy at work is really hurting my MFP running challenge reading. This is rough. LOL. Work has been really busy. Awesome day so far though. Last night, I actually slept all night without being in pain and so far today, I am pain free!!! It has been a month since…

I am slow too. And don't look like a runner either. Still trying to lose weight while I'm at it. Welcome.

Larkspur is where they have the Colorado Renaissance Festival every year! That area is GORGEOUS!
-
@MobyCarp I love your "musings"!!! It actually gives great insight to newbies like me. Thank you for being here and sharing your knowledge. Good and bad as it may be, it is still very helpful!
-
@Elise4270 yes I am seeing a PT. She is amazing! She is also very frustrated with my body! HAHA. Last appt she said "Ok, lets start over". She thinks I'm wonky. LOL, well yes I am, but what about my body? Due to a really old injury, I am off balance. So I am working on a lot of core/glute exercises to strengthen the weak…

@fitoverfortymom I know right? I am such a weenie!!! @juliet3455 This part cracked me up and made me think of @JessicaMcB @MNLittleFinn !!! Last month, I crossed paths with a friend of mine on the 18th mile of a 50kilometer race. While we passed in opposite directions, as I was truly concerned if it was possible for my…
