Rocking that suit! Good job!

@Elise4270 nice!
-
@WandaVaughn no advice because I've never ran that far. Just wanted to say GOOD LUCK!!! You are doing great!
-
@fitoverfortymom so I had your day yesterday, early this morning. Suck fest!!! I got about 2 miles in and my shoe was untied. I stopped to retie and didn't have anything left in me. Walked the rest and even cut it short. Oh well. Glad you had a great consistent run today!

@girlinahat - I think maybe some posts hit home or we some just don't know what to say. I have never hyperventilated when running, but I have high anxiety anyway. (Taking meds) I have only just started running with a group and got left pretty quickly. Sometimes, I think that I am doing better and then I get with others and…

@kgirlhart - no one really ever says anything while you are fat but when you lose or get skinny, all the comments come out. If you feel good, and you look good, you crush it girl! They are jealous of your awesomeness! @PastorVincent & @fitoverfortymom - I know why some people quit...because truthfully, that first mile is…

PlayTri. They have a couple of locations. I will also let you know how the workshop/clinic goes on Monday night.
-
@girlinahat great advice. Thanks. I know it was for Elise, but I butted in. :-)

@fitoverfortymom you are awesome for getting up in that Colorado air first thing in the morning to run. You would have thought I had never lived there because the gauge said 40 this morning when I was supposed to go and I said "NOPE". I get off early today so I am going to go before the boys' swimming lessons.
-
@elise4270 I know it is quite a drive for you, but there is a Tri shop just down the road from me. I am actually going to a clinic next Monday night at 630pm. Also, I am going to start training at the senior center pool starting next week! I'm actually excited.
-
@Elise4270 no idea but would love to hear because one of goals is to do a sprint Tri so I am going to just follow this convo.
-
Me too!! I love all the smiles after all of that!

Got my AIM run in. I know a little late, but done. It was ok. Temps were great, sun a bit bright and my stupid sock fell in my shoe. First official running injury...lol. I'll post a pic a little later so @HonuNui can put it in her collage. Of the medal/ shirt... not the blister.
-
@cburke8909 oh ouch. Let us know what's up!
-
Me too!!! ^^^^^ I was overweight before getting pregnant with twins and spent the last 8 weeks of pregnancy in the hospital. I was huge. Then after they were born I proceeded to gain back up to delivery weight. I am about 1/2 way to goal and noticed my stomach hangs pretty low like in the pics above. I just took new pics…

I am really excited to hear about your experience too! You all are very inspiring for us newbies!

You go girl! My first all running 6 mile is this Sunday! Eeek. I walked/ran some of the path last Sunday but this week I want to run the whole thing. Good luck, I know you can do it.
-
Cannot wait to hear about it. I was looking at pictures earlier and it is beautiful. You are going to kill it!!!
-
I am never going to be fast either, and that is ok. I am 42 and just starting running again (after a 20 year hiatus) this summer. I finished c25k and was slow but I did my run yesterday and was my fastest ever. 12:45 mm LOL.
-
@amymoreorless I like playing hooky in order to get lost! It was a nice drop in temps today. Wish it would stay that way around here.
-
@ariceroni CONGRATS!! So awesome to meet you goals. I hope the blister heals soon.
-
You are amazing!!! Great job!

Weekends are crazy busy around here but I have today off work! Yeah. I'm needing it. I met with a running group for the first time yesterday. The "short" route was 6 miles. That is my longest run to date. Unfortunately, I hit stop on my watch and it split the workout into 2 runs. But i had my fastest mile, 400m, 1k, for PR…

And I found an interval training app that works well! YEAH! @fitoverfortymom it doesn't have the audio prompts, but does have the vibrate, and you can set them pretty high. It is doing pretty well.

I am sooo bad about keeping up with this thread. LOL. @shanaber, this is something that my hubby is having an issue with. Really eating enough. He is a big dude and yes needs to lose weight, but 1300 cals is not going to cut it for a 6'1" guy. He doesn't eat any carbs due to being diabetic and it works for him, but he…

@eponine1984 Ok, I am not one of the experienced runners...I just finished C25k myself. BUT, I do have the issue with the numbing. Mine is my right foot/toes. It could be from socks, your gait, insoles in the shoes. Also, it could be that when you run, you splay your toes out and it is pinched. There are a bunch of…

I am out ONE day for a migraine and y'all put me 5 pages behind. LOL. @garygse - I'm in Irving during the day. I work for the city. I live in Roanoke. I noticed you were close on the Strava group. I just started with the Lake Grapevine running group and my first run is this weekend with them. Good luck on your race this…

@navygrrl! You poor thing!!! I am so sorry. I have been there. You are more than welcome to hang out with us if you feel but we all understand. I hope you heal quickly!
-
I think even if you take them one at a time and kind of "skip" up there, you will sprint at the very end. You are killing it! I have walked those steps and know it is killer. AND, you are doing it at serious elevation! I can't wait to hear how it goes this weekend.

OMG I love Red Rocks! I had a friend get married there like 14 years ago. Yike, that was a long time. But I can't imagine running up those stairs AFTER running all that way. I hope you have fun at the concert tonight. Still the very best place in the whole world to see a concert. Oh random thought...we used to go see Blues…
