racheyanne1: Thanks! My boyfriend also tells me I'm hot, but I don't think I am. I think I'm going to take your advice about the scale. That would probably help my stress too. 2011EP: Thank you for the encouraging words! :)

But I said that I eat basically the same thing every day except when I mess up at a restaurant. The only variation would be something like having an apple instead of an orange. I don't have any cookies or alcohol or high calorie dressing in the house at all. I drink only water 95% of the time.

I don't understand why I'm still being asked about my eating habits when I've already given that information or why I'm being asked how long I exercise when I already gave that information too. Plus I've written this twice: **** I mostly need to know what do to about how I'm feeling. The overwhelming discouragement and…

I've done nothing but gain weight the whole time I've been trying. At this point I would be happy with very slow progress as long as it was in the right direction.

**** I mostly need to know what do to about how I'm feeling. The overwhelming discouragement and depression and wanting to cry when I look in the mirror. ****

I don't have insurance that covers checkups. It only deals with serious medical issues as they appear. I haven't used my diary here in a while since I eat basically the same thing and the same amount every day. (Except when I screw up at restaurants.) I've posted about it before and asked people I know and no one seems to…

The only thing I can think is that my social eating is killing it, although I don't know why I'm gaining so fast when I'm doing so well with exercise. I mostly need to know what do to about how I'm feeling. The overwhelming discouragement and depression and wanting to cry when I look in the mirror.

I'm up to 153.5 now. I'm 20 pounds heavier than I was just a year and a half ago and I'm at my highest weight ever, so I don't feel slim.
-
I'm not having too much sodium and I eat all healthy stuff, mostly organic. I'm getting the proper amount of all the food groups except perhaps veggies, but I've been getting better at working those in too. I drink almost nothing but water. It's not muscle because my clothes aren't any looser; they're tighter. I look…

Supposedly it messes up your digestion somehow but I don't really understand how or why. Search "don't drink during meals" on Google if you want more details. I always drink water during meals and I would have a hard time breaking that habit, plus I would get less water every day, which doesn't sound like a good thing.

Sharp cheddar cheese is my favorite food in the world. I'm hoping that I'll be fine as long as I don't have more than 1 or 2 servings a day and stay under my calorie goal. Is there a reason why you would have to cut it completely from your diet?
-
I rounded mine down to the nearest 5 pounds. Fudging by more than 15 or 20 pounds would probably be hard to get away with, depending on how you carry your weight. But I don't think there's anything wrong with fudging it a little. A lot of people's weights are constantly going up and down anyway, sometimes by a lot if…

I'm trying to do this too. My goal is to go to bed by 11:30 and get up at 7:30. I usually stay up until well after midnight, so going to bed earlier is the key for me. This morning I ate breakfast, checked my e-mail, and went for a walk. You just have to force yourself to do it and in a couple weeks it will become a habit.…

I'm the same way. I just can not be comfortable in my own skin unless I get down to a good weight. I hate knowing I look bad in all my clothes (the ones I can still squeeze into) and having to put my purse on my lap all the time to cover my rolls. Being overweight just makes day to day living a pain. I'm incredibly…

I have increased the resistance since I started. I used to do level 8 the whole time, then I started adding 5 minutes of level 9 for every 15 minutes, and now I do 10 minutes of level 9 for every 15 minutes.

I'm confused. You look thin in your pictures. Do you really have to buy large and extra large clothing?
-
So I guess that means I can't actually monitor my daily weight fluctuations.
-
Normally I would say once a week, but after exercising consistently for over 3 weeks and not seeing the number move, I decided to stop weighing myself for a while. I haven't checked my weight in over a month, and it's made me much less stressed. I've been having trouble being motivated enough to work out more than 3 times…

If, as slender as you are, he thinks you would need to lose weight to be desirable, imagine how bad it would be if you got married and your weight increased the way it naturally does with age and having a baby and whatever other natural things make you gain weight. How could he be happy with you then if he's not even happy…

THIS! I didn't really understand that something was wrong with me for the longest time. Finding out that there was actually a disorder that described what I was going through helped put things into perspective. Now even though I still struggle with it, I know that it's not healthy and needs to change.

Even when I was at my thinnest and at a very healthy weight and looked good to everyone around me, I still felt fat and ugly. I know what it's like to feel fat when you're not. You are not fat. You are very pretty and slim, and anyone who thinks you need to lose weight is probably into the anorexic look, which is not…

pftjill: I'm surprised that no one has commented on the neck pain until now. I'm a little worried about it. Here's what I wrote in the other post that I linked to:
-
I have half a banana or a small bar a few minutes before I work out in the morning, then eat breakfast after.
-
Mine just came in the mail yesterday. I watched it earlier and it looks way harder than level 1 of the 30-Day Shred, which is the only Jillian Michaels thing I've done so far. I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it! I'm going to give it a try today, if I have time, or tomorrow.

I can't afford a HRM.

I'm confused by the comments that I'm having too much fat and carbs since I'm way under the recommended amount on both. I'm not trying to go on a low-carb diet because that's not a viable life change for me. Fat total: 25 Daily goal: 50 Carb total: 163 Daily goal: 205 I should also be ok on sodium and fiber (assuming it's…

Nope. They're way too expensive for me.

Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred exercise DVD.

I'm doing a conservative estimate of 120 calories for the 30-Day Shred because there's so little cardio in it. My arms get tired, but I don't feel like I'm burning many calories except for the very few cardio minutes.
