I find quest bars really gritty and overly sweet. I hear they are better broiled or microwaved tho. Meditative...yep. And also because your world becomes smaller and quieter when climbing. Decisions are bounded and immediate...how do we navigate this glacier? How do we descend thus rock wall? Do we solo short rope or pitch this? And that's relaxing.

Id like to read some smarty pants books about conditioning and weight training. And maybe some smarty pants books about developing sport and strength fundamentals in children. Any recommendations? And also, how do you talk to children about nutrition without inducing food shame and risking orthorexia?

Well bench turned into a 3x3 at 85lbs. At least I could rescue myself out of the forth rep by rolling the barbell to my knees, then sitting up and lowering it to the floor. Probably not something you can do when things get heavier! Squat 3x5 at 105 getting less pain and working on my butt wink so that's a win.

For those that can't do one rep yet, what if...you did the same progression using the most difficult assistance variation that you could do for the required number of reps? Using the progression at nerd fitness or startbodyweighttraining.com? Please experiment for me!
