I was also in the same boat. I am 5'3 and started at 170lbs. I got all the way down to 117 for a while but I still didn't like my body. After talking with some ladies on here I decided the best option for me was to start heavy lifting to build back up muscles that I lost during my weight loss. I am now between 121 and 124…

I realized a long time ago that it is better to rest a day or two than to push through a potential injury just to really get injured and be out months! Rest for a few days and just watch your calories close.
-
You just need to do what you can until that gets easier and then start pushing little by little. It will get easier if you just continue to push yourself alittle more and more.

Nope I eat whatever is there, not always a huge amount but I enjoy the food and the drinks!

I used to hate running and the only thing that got me to love it was continuing to run even when I hated it. Took about a year or so for me to go from hating to liking, then another year to go from like to love. Now I need to run to stay sane. It is my mental workout when I run. Good luck and hopefully you learn that you…

I lost all my weight on 1200 calorie diet. BUT I am 5'3 31 year old female! 1200 calories for a male is NO GOOD! ALSO I ate back my workout calories all the time, It took me alittle over 2 years to lose 55 pounds! 5 months to lose 55 pounds is prob not the best idea. BUT now I am back up a few pounds bc I am eating more,…

I also use greek yogurt instead of mayo. I make a chicken salad with canned chicken, greek non fat yogurt, 1 red apple diced, 1-2 stalks of celery diced, chopped grapes, and sometimes some slivered almonds. Its yummy, high protein, and low calories.

I dont think its the fact that he lost weight. I think its the fact that he had surgery and lost it so fast. If he had just done it by eeating better and working out and lost it slow then maybe he would signing a different tune. He might have still lhad lose skin but I dont think he would have lost all his muscle like that…

Thank you for all the input. I am amazed at how much I can eat now even at 1550. I just thought I would start with it low and prob still at a deficit just to see how to start. I am sure I will be able to up it but I want to go slow.

Thank you guys for the responses. Tonight for the first time I will lift before my run. I just always liked running before so I knew i would have the energy to do so. But I am also trying to cut my cardio and lift heavier. So I will now try lifting then a shorter run. See how this goes. :)

I set it to MFP's maintaince calories but it said a high 1700 ish calories. I didnt want to jump right into that high of calories yet just in case it might be too high. I am 5'3 and 121 pounds. 31 years old female. I decided to start at 1550 and go up from there. I started about a week ago and thus far I have been eating…

I get it too when people ask why I do research before eating out at resturants and I log and look at everything I eat....they say " you dont need to diet" I say... I know, I dont diet, and I look like this bc I make myself aware of how many calories I am putting into my body. Its not a diet. Its just knowing what contains…

All I know is my experience..... I ate french fries, drank beer, ate anything I wanted but cut portions and stayed in my calorie goal. I lost all my weight doing so. Now I have lost the weight, but I am not tone. I suspect that i need to change my diet to be healtier along with my cardio/ lifting routine to obtain a toner…

People do fit the regular stuff in their calorie goals but some people like trying new things, not just replacing things.

I lift at home 2x a weeks and 1x at my bf's gym on sundays. After reading what you guys are saying I am thinking maybe I should invest in some more equipment for my home to be able to lift more at home and stay safe. I am just so new to this and trying to find what suites me. Thanks for the input guys :)
