I will stab him. MY food!

I'm working on that, too. I always post exactly what exercise (sets, reps, if I've increased, etc) I'm doing in my notes. Since we're already friends, you can see that I log daily. I'll be happy to chat about any of this with ya. ^_^

I can dance again. I mean -really- dance. My knees don't hurt anymore, I don't get winded from 5 minutes of it and I just MOVE. Nothing makes me happier than dancing. It's my happy place.

Popeye! I had a video with 100 classic cartoons, and he was my absolute favorite. Now, I have a DVD with 200 classic cartoons, and he's my minion's favorite. My kid's got good taste. ^_^

A few tips that I think are really important: Overall: Make small but sustainable changes. Building habits is key. When it's habit, it's easy! When you make one change into a habit, begin to include another small change. Exercise: Figure out what you really enjoy. It's different for everybody! I can't stand yoga (I've…

I'm rather fond of saying "I love you". This applies to family, friends, and my Beard-o. The way I see it, there are many forms of love, and I'm happy to indulge in all of them.

I'd be worried about feeling weak while lifting. You need to fuel your body. If you're still losing, even at a slower rate, why would you consider cutting more? I'm 28 years old, 5'2", 117 lbs and still losing 0.5 lbs a week while eating between 1800-2100 calories every day. Play with your numbers. I found I was much…

1) I've lost 61 lbs. 2) 58 lbs in 9 months, the rest in the last 3. Still losing very slowly (suits me just fine that way, too) 3) I do indoor exercises. Body weight exercises (http://neilarey.com/workouts.html) and DVDs (Jillian Michaels) 4) My highest weight was 178 lbs. Current (and lowest!) is 117 lbs. 5) I don't do…

Walking with my minion is one of my favorites. We walk to the park and play together (running around and climbing on a jungle gym, talk about exercise!) Body weight exercises are good for inside the house, and so is dancing. We LOVE to dance. A couple of good sites for at home workouts: www.fitnessblender.com…

Bumpity-bump for sound advice.

Find a form of exercise that you genuinely enjoy. You'll be far more likely to follow through if you actually like what you're doing. Work up from there!

^^This. My preferred eating habits involve a light breakfast, slightly larger lunch, much bigger dinner. And snacks. I love snacks! I think I've done pretty well this way. It's all a personal preference kind of thing. Do what works for your eating habits.

Well said! :drinker:

^This. Oh-so-very this! I love my corsets, but I think it's a bad idea to use them to lose weight. All that does is restrict how much you can eat in one sitting. However, if one decides that they want to tightlace daily for the rest of their life, power to them (I know one such burlesque performer). It's not for me.

Pretty certain that sugar is the current "evil" thing that has been making us all fat. Just like all the other decades were right. Oh wait...

Have you tried making your own protein shakes/smoothies? I use a banana, milk and protein powder, but were I to need more calories in my day (which regrettably, I never do!) I'd add more fruit. ALLL of the fruit! And maybe honey. Or something. The point is, you can do lots to get closer to your calorie goals. Drink milk,…

My favorite core workout is http://neilarey.com/workouts/bruce-lee-abs-workout.html You can look at them all and filter by abs/core (boxes to click at the bottom of the page), but Bruce Lee abs has really done the job for me.

Make sure you're stretching your muscles. You can hurt yourself if you push yourself too hard. If it's a painful kind of hurt, rather than merely uncomfortable, take a day off. If not, than go ahead and push through! Listen to your body, drink lots of water, and stretch.

I went to a gym once. I hated it, but I had went with an ex boyfriend who made me cry because "I wasn't trying hard enough". That's a completely different story, though. Ugh. I still associate gyms with that feeling, so I work out at home. I found great workouts online (www.fitnessblender.com and neilarey.com/workouts.html…

Getting on an escalator. I have to build up my courage to step on. Down is much worse than up, but I'm white knuckled holding on the rail the entire time. I'd much rather take the stairs (which I do, if it's an option).

I love my coffee! It's part of my wake up routine and it makes me happy. I've lost all of my weight while having 2 cups every morning.

I learned to ignore it. Everybody carries their weight differently. Focus on you, and what works for you. I'm 5'2" and 120. I see many women my height that are going for 100-110 lbs. Good on them! I'm going for 20% body fat (or 115, whichever comes first). I'm actually quite happy at 120.
-
I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 120. I maintained there for a few months and decided that I really do want to lose 5 more lbs, so I'm aiming for 115 now. I'm more concerned with body fat percentage than the numbers on the scale, so I'm doing it slowly.

Well done! It's difficult to get rid of the post C-section baby belly. I'm still working on mine :grumble: Your bikini is adorable!
