Not sure about joining another group. Just wanted to say Amazon usually has a free Instantpot Cookbook for Kindle at times. Also,Facebook has several recipe groups for Ipot. Google has tons of recipes.......find them & share. Here is one top rated Ipot recipe site.…

“I also replace my blade frequently. Dull blades mean the item doesn’t slide as well, and it’s those friction moments that lead to finger-blade-tango.”Quote You can buy replacement cutter blades? Kind of leaning toward a slicer/dicer..........if I can find one with more metal than plastic.Love making vegetable soups, but…

CAROL,Don’t you hate when someone tries to “help”,or maybe that’s just me.DH pretty much leaves the kitchen alone & never, ever goes into places where I keep paper, money etc. To this day he & DDs will hand my purse to me without opening it. It works both ways. Woke up to find plastic storage containers on the kitchen table.…

Good morning. Looks like a nice day, then weather going to the pits for coming wk. Yesterday, told DH we are eating out of our stuffed fridge & double stuffed freezer for as long as it lasts. My own fault, always buying too much food,as if we are starving! Going to stay away from super markets ,only getting the fresh food from…

Must admit I haven’t tried these cauliflower recipes .Several look to be high calorie, but we can make our own choices. https://www.womenshealthmag.com/weight-loss/a19993727/cauliflower-recipes-weight-loss/

I don't juice. I mostly like to chew, unless its creamy and cold and spoonable or hot and soup-ish - but I still load with textures. Chewing is fun. Well, honestly - chewing also gets me more bang for my buck. I can drink my kcals WAAAAY too quickly and still feel munchy. Same here.....Also prefer the fiber from un juiced…

“find that most of my friends that think they don’t like veggies have either had crappy canned/frozen/casserole type childhood trauma, or they haven’t had them properly showcased. Shaved or spiralized can completely affect flavor profile, as can proper roasting at high heat, and the addition of fat (even a teensy bit, I…

Was wondering about the DASH servings for whole Grains & fiber.......but will figure it out. I usually do it the old way with paper & pencil.

Interesting article. Found this one, while trying to learn more about Whole Grains. Had some good news from Dr check up. Lost 3 pds & all the blood work results were “very good”. So hopefully,I will keep going with DASH. I appreciate the help on this thread. Does anyone know the nutrition of home made beef veggie soup? With…

Thank you. The more we share, the easier to learn.Do regular oats & steel cut have the same nutrition?

Finding whole grains a hard thing to track. A lot of pkgs say “Whole Grain”.....but no info on how much per serving.MFP doesn’t list whole grains in tracking. A lot to learn,so just becoming more aware, but not even close to tracking.

Good morning. Lots of info on your thread. The DASH way of eating seems fairly close to my normal diet. The problem is,the more I read...about different DASH plans there are,the more confused I get. The 1400 plan is my choice, but can’t find a tracking plan to copy. Ipad doesn’t do Google docs spread sheets. Have read the…

Mine sits on concrete floor outside, but I’m usually home,so no worry. I won’t even leave a W&D running when I’m not there. No fan etc either. On the other hand, there’s a fridge & 2 freezers always on. We just have to do what works for us.

Try soaking beans overnight. Drain, put in slo cooker with chopped veggies, seasoning, any meat you want & cover with broth. Turn on low & yum yum when you get home.
-
I don’t care for any food cooked to mush, cheesecake or shredded meat. That being said,we are retired, just the 2 of us here,so no need to be in a rush. I love making bread, soups & casseroles. BTW,don’t sell your slo cooker if you use one. The IP slo cooking isn’t good...... You need to add time for Instant Pot to come to…

No,I use I Pad,but have been forced to change names, passwords etc. My years long record went to cyber where ever,so gave up on caring what MFP does.Tracking is all that matters now. Pat in Oh

Anyone having MFP problems today? I had to use a diff sign in,now it won’t find any food,so can’t keep track. Grrrr Sometimes wonder if it’s MFPs way of a clearance?

Further to my night owl comments a little earlier (a few posts above), sleeping in for me is 11:30 am or noon. Yesterday, I crawled out of bed at about 12:20 pm and could have easily slept for another hour or so! I start thinking about bed around midnight or 12:30 am, and if I get into bed by 1 am, I'm doing well.…
