  • I'm wondering if you would prefer to register the different forms of magnesium, some are more easily absorbable than others and the roles of different forms are different in the body. Probably best to keep it simple though, not everyone needs to address health issues in such a defined way.
  • I hope you are able to achieve good light levels and warmth. A friend of mine uses special "day light" halogen lights on a timer to provide good quality lights to her inside plants, she is in Idaho. Please let us know how you get on. Very sorry winter has come in so very hard already.
  • Flight cancelations can work both ways, us unable to get over to you. I've not heard of any supply issues in our rental, car hire fleets. (I'm sure everyone knows more than I, they always assume they do). I know one hour has become a very long time in our UK news stream these days but please do not write us off just yet.
  • Let's hope you are well on the mend.
  • I'm deeply sorry for the whole incident. I hope you all reported the incident, and the drunken guy was apprehended by your appropriate authorities. I dearly hope none of you will be laid low by this thing. I only half caught an item on our UK news this lunch time, our government seems to be saying, covid is over? If that's…
  • May I add, the difference between, very little effort and little effort is subjective. how does one assess that. Once on a course, I sat in a wheelchair and tried to move myself and I would say it took more than little effort. I know it takes more effort using your arms for propulsion than someone, standing up and walking…
  • My first thought was, garlic water, boil two garlic bulbs in 2 litres of water till soft and slushy, remove skins taking out as much of the cloudy liquid as possible. This is your concentrate, the suggestions are to dilute two table spoons to 5 litres of water, weekly from the spring. Though in wet weather you can use a…
  • I'm so very sorry you seem to have gone through the mill recently. Its so good to know you are feeling better. Its frightening to be told you do not have long enough experience of those symptoms. Take great care of yourself.
  • Thank you for this wonderful read. Its a breath of fresh air. Its a wonderful feeling when you know deep down, you have nothing to loose but the pain caused by the autoimmunity. Keep going, I'm willing you along your way to better health. I wonder what your husband will do to mark your goal, Roses for 35 lost is brilliant.…
  • I second reading the pre-diabetes threads. I'm sorry to read you are also having hormone issues, these can cause/contribute to being prediabetic, having high blood pressure, stress too. Stress its such a broad term, it can really mess up hormones regardless of the cause of your stress. I hope your doctor is someone who is…
  • I suggest you all consider all your different, seemingly unrelated reactions and list them. Then show your list to your doctor and hope they are one of the enlightened doctors because there are so many systems involved in our bodies which should interact with each other meaning our bodies needs to be addressed as one…
  • You sound to be in a frustrating place. I'm wondering if finding a doctor with a Functional or Integrated perspective to medicine might help you. I've been incredibly frustrated by the help available in our NHS in the UK. Its as if the system has to stay in historic times. I've done a simple on line search into your system…
  • Living in the UK I have little if any faith if any in our NHS systems and sympathy for those working in it. I have mostly given up visiting my doctors since I was dismissed for taking an interest in my health and saying I seemed to have a reaction to salicylate and would like to go back to immunology where the Professor…
  • Weather conditions make a great difference to the outcome of peas and beans and the like, dry then hot and dry makes it hard going for them. A different variety might do better. I've not planted veg this year, my plot is moving, and may move again before I get it finally set up has to be nearer to the water butts. I knew…
  • PP, very, very many thanks. Explained it all. I'd vaccines in 1950 a triple or three at once and had a significant reaction it was never asked or proved what the issue was, Kalyn poultices were the answer then, never hear of them now. Subsequent ones were less reactive, one at a time, I went on to have amalgam fillings,…
  • Thank you kshama- I agree fabric conditioner being used in a tumble dryer is a nightmare. Even emanating from a washing line is bad enough. In the few weeks since I wrote of my needing to mask up really strongly and "still being got" I've started to do better. In desperation I did a "chemical sensitivity" search. I…
  • I wondered if its being a little dry, time specific to the formation of the buds possibly even when opening. My paeonies did very similarly but they are in open ground. Looking back up at the photo, I'm wondering how many plants you have in there. Geraniums are strong hungry plants with many roots. I'm sure, from a…
  • T1DC, you have my commiserations. I'm sorry, its probably the long hours which weakened your immune system way over and above your t1. When one has managed to avoid covid contracting it for such a long time, vaccinated and boosted I was grumpy with myself when it happened to me, we'd been doing the "responsible thing" long…
  • The one I have is not very high so winds are of no bother to us. Its frame is sturdy though, not tent pole quality but not easy to bend. When I looked this morning I did not notice any guy ropes in the pictures. The skin is tied to the frame. Its possible the poles might be long enough to push into the ground a little.…
  • I forgot to mention the compost heap. Its usually a good place for frogs, especially if its in the shade and not dried out. Its a great place for him to find slugs and other small creatures. Frogs are a gardeners real friend. A few years back we had a slow worm in ours but the other gardens have changed, more cultivated so…
  • Lisa, there is probably a pond near by or an area of damp where he loves to be. I hope he stays part of your gardens company of wildlife.
  • I'm in LiveOnceBeHappy- You are doing a very good job by your little one nursing to 6 months. Milk supply can all to easily be upset. I'm sure you could also log what you are consuming, your regular portions so you know how your diet is shaping up, you could pick up if your protein and fat levels are reasonable and take…
  • On the south coast Weymouth is not too far away. Today is hot enough, (too hot) for me and its supposed to be getting worse. I think there are others in the US who regularly have temperatures higher than the ones we will be experiencing. Lets hope there will not be too many wildfires through the summer where ever anyone…
  • Thank you, its good to know what we are missing over here. We are still picking our Logan berries and Tay berries, I think they are because they were inherited. I'm surprised they are doing anything because its so dry across here. The latest I've heard is we are to have a heatwave. I'm crossing my fingers for late July…
  • Welcome, I hope you are managing to find your way about. I expect you will have found the threads which are good to read as you get started on your new way of life. Good luck and take care
  • I read something earlier saying a sluggish lymphatic system could have an effect on the body when "toxins" by products of and all that are not removed efficiently from the body. I'm sorry with your medical background I'm sure this has not been overlooked. Wishing you all the very best.
  • Please can you send you rain this way. I'm very sorry you both have had crop losses. I hope other things you have planted fare better.
  • Thank you for the information. Thank you, deeply.
  • @maratoot, (I don't know how to do the fancy thing.) I commend your requirement for honesty. I was offering a possible escape. (My chemical sensitivity is driving me mad, its no joke. I can have issues in our garden!) Fried chicken is controversial, giggle. (I'm being light hearted) The fats/oils its cooked in can be…
  • Could you simply allow it as "medicinal", I've been reading antioxidants are good for chemical sensitivity, (there are other things for me to try as well). I'm thinking, you could be protecting yourself, ensuring you do not develop this situation.
