This is incredibly hard to do in the U.S. I lived in Chile for 3 months in 2010, and for the most part only ate what my host mother made. No processed foods whatsoever - she had never even tasted peanut butter. The results? I lost 20 lbs in 3 months and was healthier than ever. Zero bad side-effects.

Exactly. The one day itself won't ruin it, just how you choose to act following today!

I like to eat something before my early morning workouts, but something small like an apple or a granola bar.

First off, 6lbs in 12 days is insanely fast! Be proud of yourself! Second, I highly doubt this is a plateau. Three days does not a plateau make. Third, don't worry about going a bit over in any one category. It's not that big of a deal. Those are guidelines, and you'll still do great if you're over.

I spin, and I have to say - stick with it! It is a very intense workout (I felt a little nauseous after my class this morning because I pushed so hard) but your body gets used to it over time. Definitely go back! Maybe don't push yourself as hard next time - work your way up!

This is so great!!!!

Wow! I'd say log it as all of the above, by section. :)

I update it every time my weight changes.

Feel free to add me. Good luck with your journey!

I've also sprained my ankle multiple times. I would say to do what you doctor said, but that doesn't mean not to move your ankle at all. The real risk is losing proprioception (the sense that allows your body to know where it is, so it doesn't go past it's limits and get hurt). Loss of proprioception is what makes…

Best: I like driving in snow & Warm Pajamas & My birthday Worst: Pretty much everything else but especially wind, GREY SKIES from December to March, and my hair freezing when I go outside lol.

lol.

And I agree with this too.

Yikes that is a tough one! It depends on her personality. For me, anyone saying anything about it caused me to lose my motivation and actually set me back. I had to decide to do it on my own.

For the most part, I agree with your analysis. lol. I also don't like Five Guys that much. Steak & Shake out here is very cheap and pretty tasty, so I'd move it to the tasty list. I would add Jimmy John's to the bleh list, I've never liked them.

Love this idea! We need merch!

Well I don't go quite so early (9am) but I don't feel tired during the day. It actually energizes me!

I do not wear mine all day, only during exercise. They are most accurate when you are doing cardio (when your heart rate is high). Mine helps me in weight-loss because I can more accurately estimate the calories I burn, and therefore not overeat. I have a Sportline, which was $70. Simple to use. :-)

I don't know about most beautiful ever, but one of the best is Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah.

MFP calculates the amount of calories you need to eat to lose weight WITHOUT exercise. This means that if you eat what it says, even if you don't exercise, you will lose weight. Those 1300 calories are already far enough below the amount you would need to maintain your current weight. Your net should not fall below about…

You can try to eat them earlier in the day or eat them the next day.

Diet soda is just as bad for you as regular soda, just in different ways. If it's just the carbonation you crave, try drinking carbonated water!
-
Well it depends on a lot of factors - your weight, age, the intensity level the machine was set at, your heart-rate (what zones you were in), the brand of the machine, how long you exercised for..... They are more likely to be accurate if you entered your weight/age into the machine and had it monitor your heart rate.

People say "bump" to bump the thread up to the top of the page so it doesn't get lost in all the other topics.

I carry my water bottle with me everywhere and try to have it out of my bag so it is visible. If I can see it there I'm more likely to drink it. Also I find it helps to know exactly how much water your bottle holds, so you can say - oh I only need to drink two of these a day!. Makes it seem easy! :)
-
Yup. Also, as your body becomes more conditioned it doesn't have to work as hard, which means you have to push yourself further to get the same burn.
-
Weird - this has definitely never happened to me.

I sometimes choose to think about my calories and weight loss on a weekly basis rather than a daily basis. Your body doesn't know the difference between one day and the next - eat them whenever you like, just make sure you keep track correctly. For example, sometimes if I go really far over in my calories, I will add the…
