You can multi quote if replying from your phone then just press the quote button at the bottom of each post and they should appear in the reply box (at least that is how it works on my phone). As for your question I personally stopped tracking sugar as I go over all the time, tracking fiber is more meaningful for me. You…

Unfortunately if you are a pear you will stay a pear, being 62lbs lighter hasn't made me less of a pear shape and I doubt losing the remaining 15lbs I want to lose to get to goal will make a difference. I will always be a size bigger on the bottom to the top but I own it and just try and emphasise the good bits like my…

Try and log before you eat or prelog that way you may be able to avoid it in the future. In the meantime acknowledge it, eat sensibly for the rest of the day like others have said and try again tomorrow

Enough roast root veg for 4 servings, a whole roast chicken; left overs after sunday roast to go with the roast veg for lunches, 4 servings of pizza dough to freeze for later in the week. I'll prep some tomato and red pepper soup tomorrow for Wed, Thu and Fri lunch as the roast chicken will be gone by tomorrow lunch time.

Love her recipes, nothing so far that I didn't like, some have turned into regular favourites in my house like the chicken fajitas and I also love the spinach and butternut squash salad with gorgonzola crumbles (although I substituted for low fat feta).

Peppermint tea is my go to on bad days and good ones! I've got into the habit of having at least a mug a day and more on bad days it really seems to help for me.

I will add to this @aggelikik to say I totally agree with what you say and also to reiterate it is unsafe to be recommending any type of vitamin unless you know someone's medical background. My medication that keeps me alive actually interacts negatively with calcium, iron and folic acid supplements, I can't even eat…

69lbs down and no loose skin just yet, only about 15lbs to go to goal slow and steady loss will help skin bounce back a bit.

Take the prozac, to reassure you, my sister has been on prozac for years and hasn't gained weight because of taking them. They have on the other hand greatly helped with her anxiety and depression (she also has had anxiety around food, calories and weightloss/weightgain). Also go and see a therapist/psychologist and if you…

5'7" starting weight 237lbs, current 175lbs goal 160 for now. Once I get there I might reassess. I'm medium to large framed so I may be happy there but as it's at the top of the normal weight range for my height I may want some wiggle room

@toe1226 isn't ^that^ the truth I recently bought some frosted flakes for the husband and decided to have a bowl myself remembering I loved them in the past, they were disgustingly sweet and I can honestly say I no longer like them!

You are doing nothing wrong but have a look at the Most helpful posts section at the top of this forum there is a post in there explaining why you may have weeks were you don't lose. It's called it is unlikely you lose weight consistently (i.e. weight loss isn't linear). Don't panic if you have a week or even 4 where you…

Wraps, salads, soup/left overs in a food thermos (soup is one of my faves!). Hummus or similar dip with your favourite vegetable crudités and a pitta (or not whatever the preference) definitely an idea for someone on the go as it can be picked at throughout.

Ultrahoon has a good point, sometimes the small substitutions make a large difference. The thing is if you want volume then a large quantity of your meal will have to be vegetables, weight for calorie they are the most bang for your buck. I also find cooking from scratch instead of buying packaged meals make a lot of…

^^so this, you will find yourself making small changes over time so you get more bang for your buck so to speak. (Good example for me is not having sugar in my porridge so I can use those cals elsewhere).

Thanks, I feel lucky in the sense that my hypothyroidism is very stable and I feel good on the standard levothyroixine (synthroid generic in the uk). I don't have autoimmune disease either which is why I don't fluctuate that much, my thyroid gland just stopped functioning completely. My gp also let's me control my…

^^Agreed, my TSH is 0.05 as of my last blood test(which is just in range at the lower end of 0.02) if it's much higher than that I start feeling rotten.
-
Absolutely nothing, as long as you take you med and they are at the correct level for you i.e. your levels of TSH etc. are in the normal range and you have no symptoms. Then you should be able to lose weight like any other person. Weightloss isn't fast you just have to be patient, it can be done I have hypothyroidism and…

It's a good rate of loss with so little to lose, in all honesty with a bmi of just over 21 you really haven't got a lot to lose anyways. Be realistic about your goal, quite a while ago is when you were a child so 44-50kilo then would be acceptable but for your height that would now be seriously underweight. If you want to…

yuk, gipping just looking at that jellied eel not something I'm ever willing to try. I've never had boiled or pickled red cabbage. It was the one vegetable my mum didn't like or cook so I've never had it as a child and I've just never had the inclination to give it a go as an adult. I'm very much on the if it doesn't smell…

this ^ But also, sex hormones i.e. Estrogen etc are fat soluble so as you are losing fat stores they can be released messing up hormone balance which can affect your skin ( like in puberty, sorry).

You do realise that candida is actually not a bacteria but a yeast and naturally occurs on or in the human body. Candida overgrowth can cause a lot of problems but would really only happen in immunocompromised people or with high antibiotic use, immunocompromised in the sense that a bacterial infection has already taken…

You will always be a pear shape whether you are 100lbs or 123lbs, no amount of weight loss or exercise will change that, its genetics. So maybe learn to embrace your shape and work with it, there are loads of cute clothes that can balance out the top and enhance the tiny waist that comes with being a pear.
-
That certain foods just don't taste as good as they used to. I bought jelly babies yesterday as I fancied them, I had a few and realised they were just not as tasty as i remembered them and not worth it for the cals per sweet so I gave them to my husband. That's not the first time that has happened either.

My guess is that you are undermedicated if you are not losing on a deficit and you are 100% sure your logging is accurate. It can take a long time to get medication right (it took a year for me), oedema is not unusual when newly diagnosed or undermedicated which can explain why you feel you're retaining water. I can…

Is that really all you are eating in a day? How do you not pass out? Seriously you are doing yourself serious harm eating so little. Try and stick to at least 1200kcal a day, more than that if you can get away with it. Someone else on this forum has said it but it stuck with me, they said the person who eats the most and…

I love buttermilk! I was brought up on the stuff! In the Netherlands you can buy it by the litre, I miss it a lot now i live in the UK, you can only get it in little piddly pots :(

I love dairy especially yogurt so I would never give it up. I agree that soy milk is disgusting (and I get problems with soy anyways) after that experience i have never tried any of the other alternatives. I would say if you have no issues with dairy reintroduce it there is nothing wrong with consuming dairy.

You can skip a period sometimes I have had that before, the gynaecologist I was seeing at the time (not related to the skipped period) wasn't concerned, it could be caused by dietary changes, stress, etc. Maybe do a pregnancy test anyways and I would say seek a doctors opinion if it doesn't appear within the next 10days or…
