No catch - best thing invented since chocolate :o)

I have had great success with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and also her Ripped in 30 dvd workouts. They are cheap ($10 at Walmart), need minimal equipment (just some handweights) and are simple to follow (not necessarily simple to do, but you don't have to be overly coordinated if you know what I mean). My 66 year old…

Eat an apple or two, maybe stay away from cheese for a day or two (it's been known to plug you up). This may sound silly, but if I go for a longer run (2-3 miles), it almost always shakes something loose ;o) Maybe go for a run on those days for your workout.

I don't specifically remember what exercises were in Level 3 since it has been a while since I did it. I think that may have been the level with the "duck walks" which made me want to beg for mercy. According to an earlier post I made, it must have been centered on triceps and thighs. I do recall that I felt the strength…

I wish all you ladies the best with your weight loss endeavors, but you all have plenty of "time" :o) There is no magic door that will slam on you when you turn 35 to say no more baby for you. Don't put added pressure on yourself to get pregnant before such and such date. I know what the statistics say about down syndrome…

Needed to burn some extra calories last night, so I did Level 2 in addition to Level 1 workout. Level 2 STILL kicks my butt! Granted, I was half worn-out having done a workout already, but I'm pretty sure I'm still going to struggle with that level! I was able to use heavier weights for the first shoulder circuit though…

What an incredible transformation inside and out! Hope you've done something to celebrate your success! Congrats!

I too have been struggling with this, although not yet in maintenance - thanks everyone for your replies. Now I know what to focus on to avoid unwarranted hunger attacks.

As far as your cravings go, brush your teeth. When my breath is fresh, it kills the craving desire at least for a little while. Sometimes it works to keep my cravings at bay for the whole night, sometimes it doesn't, but it doesn't hurt to try. I also try to stay out of the room where the goodies are. Spend time in the…

First time around I did it 5-6 times per week. This time I'm trying going to try to do 7 days in a row with a one-day break in between - just because I'd like to finish the workout in about 1 month's time. I had great results taking more breaks though, so listen to your body. Don't rush through if your muscles need a…

You can lose weight with no exercise following MFP's calorie deficit, but it will NOT happen in 2 weeks and it WON'T be at a rate of 5 lbs a week. If you eat at a calorie deficit and strictly adhere to your diet plan, you can lose weight without ever exercising (at a rate of about 1 lb a week or so). However, without…

Thank you! I think I will try this after doing RI30 for a second time. How long is the Body Rev workout? I've looked at so many workout videos lately that I can't remember. Hoping it is not too long. 30-40 minutes works perfect for me. dshalbert - I'm not the most coordinated person either. After RI30 the first time, I…

What type of exercise are you doing 5-6 times a day and for what duration. Making your diary public may help us offer some more insight.

Absolutely A-MA-ZING!!!! You look stunning! Great job!

mwal74 - Can I ask what foot injury is healing? Ripped in 30 is an awesome workout, but there are some higher impact moves. Just make sure to modify if you need to in order to keep from reinjuring your foot. (one of Jillian's sidekicks usually shows a less intense version of every move she does) You can still get a very…

I got through Ripped in 30 the first time a little over a month ago. I haven't tried Body Revolution, but have considered it. After Ripped, I did Jillian's "No More Trouble Zones". Since it is all strength training, I did it for 2 days followed by 2 days of cardio workouts (running or P90X Interval Plus, Plyometrics or…

I too bought a new pair of work pants. My original size was a 12 Petite and after some weight loss, I bought an 8 Petite. I went back to the store after work last night to find a smaller size pair. Ended up buying a 4 Petite which was still a little loose, but they didn't have a 2. I honestly don't ever remember wearing…

Don't stop now, you're on a roll! I agree with other posters here, you will lose your fat in areas like your face and boobs first, areas you may not necessarily want to see it gone. But you don't get to choose where the fat is disappearing from. Your body is burning fat from all areas of your body simultaneously, it's just…

If this helps, here is a link to my success story I posted after I hit my 30 lbs lost goal. I was very happy with the results I got over the summer. You can totally do this!! :o) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1097482-down-30-lbs-going-for-bonus?hl=down+30+lbs+going+for+bonus P.S. My photos didn't work right away,…

It can be done! I did it this summer (went from 154 lbs to 129 lbs from May 31st to Aug 25th). I was on 1200 calories a day and ate back at least half of the exercise calories. I worked out doing Jillian Michaels dvds, some power walking, (also some running on days that I ate too many calories, just to burn off the…

Fitness Pal can become an addictive time suck, just like Facebook. Especially if you sit and read posts in the forums. If you're worried about the time you spend online, maybe start by eliminating some of time spent just reading forum posts. Stick with logging calories and exercise only. That takes very little time to do.…
-
That is how I logged it too, but beware the MFP calorie burns are just a guide. Depending on your size, weight and age, you may burn more or less than what MFP says. If you are overweight, but not obese, I would not eat back 100% of the calories it tells you. For example, I just bought a heart monitor calorie burn tracker…

I had success in breaking a plateau by completely changing up my fitness routine. I had been doing 25 minute Jillian Michaels dvds which were working great for the first 2 1/2 months, but then weight loss just stalled. I started doing workouts that were twice as long, one Jillian Michaels and 2 that were P90X. Within a…

You mention the vomiting at the end of your post. Have you been vomiting throughout your weight loss or is this a more recent thing since the weight has come off? If you have been unable to keep food down all along, I would suggest seeing a nutrition specialist. Perhaps you have developed an allergy or intolerance to one…

You cannot spot reduce just your stomach, but you may want to try doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred workout video. I've had awesome results losing inches on it and another member just posted her results in 3 weeks. Below is the link to her post. The workout is cheap, short (25 minutes from start to finish) and requires…

Way to go! You must be elated!! Way to stay dedicated even when the blasted scale isn't reflecting the progress you have made!

According to multiple sources: American Heart Association, Harvard, American Institute of Cancer Research to name a few. I'm not saying (and neither are the experts) that you need to avoid high saturated fat cuts of meat entirely, just consume in moderation. There are tons of healthy "good" fats in meat as well :o)
-
Cuts of meat that are high in fat are often high in unhealthy saturated fat and cholesterol that can clog arteries with plaque. Bacon, sausage, high-fat steak cuts are big offenders. That said, eating a few pieces of bacon here and there are not likely to cause you any harm. They are relatively low calorie and I agree,…

Stick with what you've been doing, your diary looks fine (except for Monday's ;o) Weight loss is not linear, it will stall and start. I can go for a week or more at about the same number on the scale, then suddenly the next day drop 2 lbs. You've dropped 6 lbs in one week, 4 in the next, those are terrific losses! However,…

Agree! I'm 5'4" and started at 153.8 lbs. My first goal was to lose 20 lbs and get back to where I was before having kids. When I reached that weight, I set a new goal, because I knew that I was not happy with my body back then before I had kids, so I changed my goal to 125. I have now reset my goal for the 3rd and final…
