Try doing Jillian Michaels video "No More Trouble Zones". It is a 40 minute workout that will strengthen your butt, thighs, arms, tummy and back. If you are happy with your weight, just adding an all-over strength training workout like this may give you the results you want to see. It worked wonders for me. I did it 4…

Exactly what I was thinking when I read the original post. There are many times when I'd like to have eaten a homemade treat but opted for something I could log more accurately. It seems silly, but for me, that uncertainty can throw off an entire day of eating. Too much of a perfectionist I guess. That said, if I do eat…

I know there is a guy who has posted his success story on here who has dropped 300 lbs (starting at 500+ lbs). This is the perfect place for you to be. Take small steps, set realistic goals, achieve them and set new ones. You can do this and it may not be as much work as you think. I found losing weight with fitness pal to…

When we eat out, 90% of the time we eat pizza at Godfather's (my hubby's favorite place to eat). One slice (small pie) of veggie style pizza is only 250 calories. So it's easy to make room in your daily allowance for 2 slices without having to sacrifice too much at your other meals. Hamburger pizza is not much worse at…

Ditto this! Don't be discouraged about not being able to do your workouts. Keep up with your calorie tracking and do what exercise you can, you can still lose as long as you're eating at a calorie deficit, even without exercise. In the words of fitness guru Tony Horton: "Do your best and forget the rest!" We'll be praying…

I bought 2 pairs of Size 4 jeans which fit perfect off the rack (an almost impossible feat). I love being a size 4, but really the number doesn't matter that much. As long as they fit and flatter your body, you'll feel awesome!

I lost 30 lbs last summer eating 1200-1300 calories a day plus my exercise calories. The first 2 months I lost 10lbs each month, but the last 10lbs took about 2 1/2 months to disappear. It will vary for each person, but eat at a calorie deficit and exercise most days of the week (even if it's only 20 minutes) and you will…

I think it may be more of a question of where you live. If you live along the beach (like within a couple of miles from the ocean) then I'd say it would probably be appropriate to run into stores in that area and be out in your yard dressed in a bikini top and shorts. However, if you don't live anywhere close to the beach,…

I use the following site (see link below) to estimate all my workout burns (most of which are Jillian Michaels). Each time a start a new level, I keep track of my heart rate by timing my pulse between circuits for 15 seconds. I exercise at my maximum intensity for that workout. Then I plug in the figures on the shapesense…

Worry about clean eating when you can, don't stress over it. What counts is the amount of food you are eating. Keep your portions smaller than what you have eaten in the past. If you normally have 2 pieces of lasagna, just eat one and have more veggies instead. Cut out excessive snacking. If you eat nutritious…

My local HyVee store has hired a dietician who is available to the public for free to help them with their dietary needs. If you cannot afford to pay for someone's services, maybe check with local big chain grocery stores in your area and see if they offer a similar public service. I'm sure they will recommend products…

I agree, I never realized it would be this easy to lose the weight that held the skinny me "prisoner" for twelve years. I spread the word about this website every time someone comments on how great I look now. I hope to help as many people as possible to discover this amazing site!

Mine has gone AWOL too. Body fat percentage at 20%, weight 121 lbs, 5'4" tall. Is this too low of a body fat % to maintain proper cycles? I was very irregular when I was younger and weighed in the 120s and 130s. The heavier I got, the more regular I was. Took several preggo tests, so not preggo, but am wondering why? I…

Weight loss gets harder (slower paced) the closer you are to goal. If your goal is 130, then this may hold true for you. If your goal is 115, the 130s may not be all that bad.

1) Put down whatever you are eating and go brush your teeth. You will be more reluctant to eat when your mouth is fresh. 2) Do your workout, again you'll feel empowered and not as likely to indulge in crap after just burning off some calories. 3) Just leave the kitchen, hide all tempting items out of site (if you have…

I'm in the same boat - 5'4" and 120 lbs. I have just reached my goal and am very happy with where I am at. My oldest daughter makes comments like "You're so bony" just because now you can see things like cheekbones, collar bones, back bones that have always been covered with fat layers. It had me second guessing myself…

I used to joke with the hubby that every time I started working out and losing some weight, he'd thwart my efforts and end up getting me pregnant (happened twice). So now every time TOM is late, I get all worried - lol. Don't worry, probably just a run of bad luck. Make sure to take a multivitamin and maybe an immune…

It really doesn't matter what (if any) exercise you do, your weight loss will happen by eating at a calorie deficit. If you cannot stick to the calorie deficit and find yourself going over your allowed calories each day, you will likely need to do more intense exercise than yoga to burn those extra calories. Personally I'd…

As everyone has said finding something you enjoy doing (not dread) is key. So is choosing the place you want to work out. I love being able to work out at home. I'm not a gym kind of person, I don't like someone watching me exercise. If I run outdoors, I usually do it at night or early morning when it's just me and nature.…

3 month?? Try 6 years 3 months!!! WTF?

Congratulations on hitting your century mark!!! Absolutely amazing! I don't know what your starting weight was, but I wish my brother and sister-in-law would read this. They are both extremely overweight and as you put it "walking heart attacks" with their cholesterol, and blood pressure problems. I like the baby steps…

Thank you!!! This is what I was hoping to hear. I do convert my burns from gross to net. I'm thankful Nytrifisoul for you taking the time to compare for me. :o)

Keep going :o) You can do it! I took a break for a few days because I needed larger calorie burns than this provided to stay under my calories for the day. Plan to start week 3 today. (Goodbye Week 2 - I won't miss you!) lol

You look fantastic! Keep it up, you'll reach your goal in no time!
-
Can't tell you much about muscle percentage, but welcome back to MFP! Wishing you success in your weight loss efforts!

I always eat a big breakfast (typically 350-450 calories) and I also eat lunch and supper. I've lost almost 34 lbs in the last 5 months. As long as you stay in your allotted calories for the day, it's all good :o)

I am just entering maintenance. My original goal was 125 until I read about how your body will put on the "water weight" you lost so easily at first when coming off my calorie deficit. So I dieted down to 120 and now expect to see a 3-4 lb increase this week due to my body replenishing those glycogen supplies. I do not…

I never met a candy I didn't like :o) So, for that reason, all the candy we're handing out is still in sealed bags locked in my cellar. Will not be broke out until the doorbell starts ringing. And we'd better have trick-or-treaters until it's all gone!!! As for what my kids bring home, I hope to summon the willpower to…

I don't see that you are logging the calories you are eating. I know you are eating tons of good healthy foods, BUT if you are eating too much of them, your body will still not burn those extra calories. Thus, preventing you from losing your last few pounds. I'd recommend logging everything that you eat for a week just to…
