Your weight loss journey is all about how many calories your consume and how many you burn to create a deficit and hence, lost those 11 pounds. That being said, if you are going to consume some extra calories drinking beer, you may want to cut some out somewhere else to make room for it. Drinking alcohol is part of my diet…

Well, hopefully everyone has already vented their spleen and I can say that on some level: I agree. Not with treating sugar like alcohol and tobacco, but as someone pointed out, the government can have a role in encouraging healthy behaviors and discouraging unhealthy behavior. I have no problem taxing candy, soda and junk…

Tell the truth, the sister's boyfriend is a bit of a moron too, right? Sounds like it. Your assessment of what has happened is absolutely right on and you have discovered what many of us have found; fat and protein = satiety. Also, there is some newer research on what causes higher bad cholesterol and it isn't fat.

True. But in this case, not idiotic at all.

I have to agree with the poster above, why anyone would eat a manufactured egg product when the real thing is cheap, easy to get and store, and virtually one of nature's perfect foods is beyond me. Same with egg white omelets and CHEESE. Holy crap, take out the yolk, which contains tons of nutrients and then eat cheese, a…

No wine for me. Started drinking Bourbon instead. I forgot how much I liked it. Good luck.

Qnote you are not a negative nancy, you are simply mistaken. And your first instinct was probably correct. No such thing as starvation mode from IF. #1, #2, #3. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Why do they call it breakfast? Does this happen every night when you sleep and not eating? No. Okay...frankly, I am good at 18/6 but am very…

Well, there is one advantage to Artic Zero for me, I won't overeat it. When I feel the need to eat more than a few bites. or a reasonable portion - which happens (at least to me) I go for the Artic Zero. Otherwise, Skinnny Cow or the Breyers 1/2 are good.

There are SO MANY sites out there that are for low carb lifestyle. Seriously, google is your friend here. Low Carb Friends come to mind immediately, but there is a plethora of them. Eat. It is really important that you get enough calories.

Thank you. My head was spinning from all of the derp on this thread. UGH

I think the answer is, what happens after the 17 days? If you can do it and lose weight and then gain it back, obviously something is going on day 18+. I agree with the person who said that these diets can help us "jump start" weight loss, but it is really what happens afterwards that will determine your success. Or…

Love all bacon. Even turkey bacon. Here is what I do. I don't use the grease, in fact, I soak up as much of it as I can. Not a greasy bacon lover. Then, I use the calorie count for the COOKED BACON label: Nutrition Facts Serving Size 2 slices (14 g) Per Serving % Daily Value* Calories 70 Calories from Fat 45 Total Fat 5.0g…

No worries on the sugar thing - especially if you ate a couple oranges and stayed within your calories. You did NOT over consume sugar. There are some things you can do to adjust your settings, if you like. Or, you can ignore it.

Nonsense. Complete and utter nonsense. I can't even respond to anything that rate Slim Fast, what #3? US New and World report is a sham.

No. You don't have to eat all your calories every single day. Most days you should try. Some days you will be over and some days you will be under. If you prefer, you can average your weekly calories and see where you land. There are LOTS of ways to get to the same goal. Don't let the calorie Nazi's tell you different.

Absolutely BAFFLED why someone would throw away or not eat an egg yolk. Eggs may just be natures perfect food. And the egg yolks have so many benefits. And maybe the best one is that fat and protein fill you help and satiate your hunger. I think eliminating them (and adding cheese - holy bone head) is so self defeating.…

OP has already moved on to another fad diet.

I guess you weren't really interested after all, so I won't waste my time. Good luck!

Chinese buffet is a splurge, over calories, over fat, over sugar, over salt, over everything. Vegetables, chicken, rice or no rice. If you choose to eat there, just be aware that there probably isn't much that doesn't fall into the above "over" category. Which is fine if you aren't fooling yourself that it is something…

Phish. Not everyone experiences terrible side effects nor gains back the weight after using Phen. But anyone who would come on MFP and say so would have to be crazy to put up with the ridicule and self righteousness of some on this board. And I am not saying anyone who posted here. This is not the place to get support for…

Every single day second thing in the morning. And if I am home, around 11am. It is the time my weight is lowest. I need to weigh myself everyday to remain accountable.
-
You will get no support here or advice. Sorry, but I wouldn't waste your time and would look elsewhere. Good luck.

I prefer Android but have a iphone5s for the thumb unlock. Since my phone is a work phone too it has an auto lock and I got so tired of keying in my passcode 100 times a day. So far I am okay with my iphone but I have to say that SIRI sucks. I try her, call her names, give up and go to Google Now and get what I need first…

It is not so much the calories for me - believe me, I did plenty of damage in that area...it is the overstuffed, can't stop myself until I am physically uncomfortable eating that bothers me. And what it does to my stomach (I SWEAR it gets stretched out and can hold more and WANTS more) and my appetite. I AM HUNGRY.…

No. No. And absolutely not for a nursing Mother. Please do some research (google is your friend here) on the nutritional and calorie needs of nursing Moms. You and your baby come first. Second, cleanses do not work. If you insist on wasting your time and money, in many cases, at least wait until you have finished nursing.…

You got lots of great suggestions, but I just want to say that I think it is great you are doing this. Not only do you save money, you are saving the environment too - an added bonus and just one more reason to feel good about it. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=meat-and-environment BTW, if people…

Absolutely. Go to the psychologist and get the help you need to straighten this out. I am sorry, but from your picture you look very underweight and unhealthy.

Refreshed morning look? Holy cow.

Lovely sentiment. The women in your life are lucky.

Every single morning right after I get up. And if I am home at 11am or around there - I weigh myself then also. It is the sweet spot for me and my lowest weight of the day. Totally obsessed and so glad of it. Since I quit logging, and in maintenance before my next loss it is what keeps me on track.
