I log my fruits and veggies as those calories can add up. And like most here I believe that logging accurately and consistently helps people stay in goal for weight loss/gain or maintenance.

because I don't give up my life due to counting calories or exercise. I don't make exercise my only activity. I will not turn down invites out because I won't be able to track it exactly...and last but not least...I don't take a scale when I do go out to weigh my food. I live my life and have fun.

Not that is not what that feature is for. The disallows "negative calories adjustments" as it states...for example when you wake up in the morning it could say -150 calories earned...because you haven't moved much.. To the OP why do you have them sync'd if you don't want the calorie adjustment. That is the whole point of…

just as a note...but I wished the same thing and spoke to my doctor. I got setup with a tubal and an ablation. I still have TOM but no cramps and no bleeding per say. Still plenty hormonal but eh.

No friends, only these two posts..and it seems all targeting me. How interesting....and how odd and entertaining that you, since 2014 have kept off the forums and only posted these 2 things. It actually appears you don't have anything better to do....I fully expect a response because if you took this much time and effort…

Yes you are correct it was the Implanon that you can blame for that 5lbs you just lost and the bloat. Any form of "HORMONAL" birth control causes water retention in most woman... But it won't make you keep fat or gain it without excess calories. If you lose weight and your clothing becomes loose than you are retaining less…

I run on a treadmill and outside.... The treadmill is easier...even on a steady incline of 2 doing 8.5 for 1 min then 9.5 for a min. Vs Outside which is a steady flat (with slight incline that you don't notice) steady pace. I know when I run for 30mins outside it's usually 5k or 3miles...treadmill says 4.28 miles...yah no.

The side effects of Mirena are well known and there is a large list...so to say people pretend there aren't is a misnomer. Some impact others harder than perhaps me...or even you. but the facts are this...mirena itself does not cause weight gain. It does however cause increased appetite, bloating, water retention etc...all…

If you lost weight you lost muscle...that's just a fact of life. Dexa scans aren't 100% either. Protein is important if you are doing resistance training to help repair the muscles and you need that if you want to build muscles. and last but not least protein helps keep you feeling fuller longer... So it is as important as…

suggestion is to always come to this group or fitbit customer service to see if there are issues before doing anything. Mine didn't sync either but I always check here first...so I now have a one way sync back to fitbit which is awesome.

there is a post from MFP staff about this. Link is in the other thread.

how do you know it can't hurt??? I've seen pretty healthy folks who have recently started stacking and bam...sometime happens... not saying it's the cause of the supplements aka BCAA's or Powder or preworkout etc... but I don't think that there are enough studies on some of these things at all and yet people are rushing…

I think to a point we should look for a more natural remedy...but I won't go so far as to say that ACV has merit... I know I feel better lowering my cholesterol in a natural way...aka losing weight so I don't need the meds...but that being said I may need them in the future even after I lost weight as mine is still high…

Those are my thoughts too. I only use protein powder in the summer in my smoothie as I eat eggs with ham most of the winter. Other than that...nada...coffee is my preworkout... However I get grief given as I don't use supplements...guess I am not "hard core" enough for some.

so even if you are getting a "placebo" effect it might be best to just stop...interesting. I have never personally used it but I know lots who do...
-
you will lose muscle regardless...there is nothing we can do to stop it all together while losing weight. You can lessen the amount by getting in adequate food, protein and doing some form of resistance training...but you will lose some.

if this was a study and not a blog/article it might hold more traction. Even after reading it...there is nothing new in this article. It takes 3500 k/cal to burn 1 lb in a lab...does that translate exactly into real life... usually but not all the time just like everything else. The key is this...to lose weight you need a…

however I did notice that the website is "not secure" per my web bar... so in other words don't enter passwords etc...
-
no I htink you are mistaken with that... I just checked on the website and you can copy from yesterday...I prefer the website to be honest.

If Mark Rippetoe wants to train me...I am not saying float buddy you aren't in good enough shape... I do however agree that CPT means about as much as the paper it's written on...

it actually really is...my gram made it every year...it was a dense white cake with those gum drops...no icing/frosting and went awesome with tea/coffee. I will miss it this year....

what about gumdrop cake?????

is blonde and wasn't offended... Good luck OP...and welcome to the boards @Ladybug_lover

timing of meals is not relevant just stay in goal.
-
pre menopausal woman have bloating etc from our cycles and you have to factor in water weight etc. So give yourself at least 1 full cycle to see how you are impacted.
-
In MFP your activity level should not include exercise. So if that lightly active does...make it sedentary. It will give you a bit less calories to eat but it is the amount of calories you need to lose weight without exercise. If you want to exercise add it in and eat some of them back to help fuel your next workout.
-
one must work to build muscle....but there are ab muscles regardless and if at that weight you didn't get a six pack it's probably more of a genetic thing not an actual muscle thing.
-
I think you have retained some water. scale weight isn't just fat....and that is why it's one number out of 10 or so that you need to look at.

I read and answered the actual question asked... with a response that covered it quite nicely thank you. no where did I say it was needed I said it was up to the person as it is very individual. for whatever reason some people decided to go into the minutia of the fact c25k isn't a marathon...no kidding...but some people…
