I just started W5I do it on the treadmill at the gym. Working my way to doing it outdoors. I feel to embarrassed still to run outside where lots of people can see me struggling! Maybe at the end of W5 I'll venture outside.

The gym I go to has a machine that allows you to do assist pull ups. It takes some of your body weight out of the equation to allow you to do pull ups and as you get more confident you lessen the weight you have taken out. They trainer at the gym recommended starting at 1/3 of your body weight. It is still hard for me!

If you go over your limit go for a run and work back some of those calories!!

Don't stress everyone sweats! And honestly most people probably don't even notice. The fitness fanatics are to focused on doing their own workouts to notice and anyone else is probably just as embarrassed as you are.

Everyone can get discouraged at times but you need to think about why your doing this, whether it be to look hot naked or just to look good in that dress remember why you are doing this and why you will be disappointed if you give up! I have had gym memberships and wasted them! I now have joined another gym and I go 5-6…

Me too I was under the impression that muscles burns more than fat so if you created more muscle you in turn created more weight loss??

Don't think of it as a diet think of it as a lifestyle change that is what has worked for me. Once a week I sit down workout what meals I'll have through the week food shop and the prepare and freeze. I still occasionally have the bad foods like hot chips but not as often. I agree with this You need to sit down and let her know that you are doing this and why you want to do it! Living at home does make it difficult when your mum is doing all the food shopping. Offer to go with her and steer her towards healthier options or as was already said buy your own groceries.

I know some artificial sweeteners have a chemical linked to health issues such as cancer. I can't remember the name of the chemical though. Not all artificial sweeteners have that chemical though.

Just remember you can lose the weight but they will always be ugly on the inside.

I have a strength routine I do that incorporates some basic arm strengthening ideas. Tricep dips are easy to do almost anywhere. I also would suggest a set of dumbbells so many options you could do once you have a set.

Yes I am now going to eat more I don't know If i'll go as high as 1600 calories a day as I have an office job so I'm on my *kitten* a fair bit. But I will def add something extra maybe in the car on my way to dance classes or after the gym .

Hooping is so much fun, I actually go to a hula hooping class once a week and I was horrible at it to begin with but its just practice. I find it easier with one foot forward. Sometimes I will eat something extra after a workout but its normally under the 200 calories.

I don't religiously weigh my food I do on occasions but most of the time i work off the packaged weights. My exercise I log now on MFP but previously I just used a tick sheet at the gym…

Thanks R55T I might go back and take a look at the photo that started it all and see if I can see a difference. Elyelyse - I've only recently started using the MFP app after a friend saw me jotting my food in a diary. SO much easier so I only have a few days on here at the moment.
