  • You're doing great!!!
  • I had to go to the hospital at the end of May, and I weighed in at 409 pounds! On June 1st, I promised myself a fresh start. I've lost 45 pounds since and now weigh 364. I've never really talked much about my weight... but my starting weight is VERY close to what yours was. I'd love to be here to motivate you, so I am…
  • I don't know how to delete a post, but I can respond to this question now that I've come across it. I'm 27, and I haven't felt those effects, BUT... It is a valid question & a correct correlation, as well. Excess fat creates excess estrogen in our bodies. So, yes, it does get your hormones out of whack. Because we're…
  • I remember the first time a doctor told me that. I honestly wish I'd never been told it, but whatever, I'm moving on now. I began to buckle down on June 1st, 2014. I'm down 45 pounds. I promised myself that if I could lose 50 pounds, I could lose all the weight that I want to lose. I'm 5 pounds away from that goal, and…
  • You look very strong. Awesome results!!!
  • I like big booties (pear shapes) and big, dark eyes... My wife has squinty green eyes and no bum. Haha. Funny how that works out. ;-)
  • I can't even imagine what it's gonna take to stop seeing myself as being so big, once I'm so small. I've gone down from a 4XL shirt to a XL shirt now, and every time I go to put on an XL shirt, I think something's wrong, and I stretch it out. My new shirts are all destroyed from me stretching them out, and they look too…
  • I did intentionally only eat from 12pm-8am. I had lunch, maybe a snack, then dinner, but that's it. It definitely helped me to re-learn what hunger feels like. Now, I eat when I'm hungry (truly hungry), whether my first meal is at 7am or 2pm. Whatever works for you. :)
  • Hypothyroidism effects people's weight/metabolism differently. My numbers are where they "should" be, thanks to my medication, but if I eat my recommended number of calories to maintain my weight AND get in 5k steps a day, I gain a pound or so a week instead of maintaining. So, that means I have to cut/burn 500…
  • I don't intentionally log any chores... I don't plan on eating them back, and I didn't do it for the sake of exercise, so I leave it alone. I do wear a Fitbit, though, which would automatically factor in lots of walking, especially since I have myself set to sedentary.
  • Stairs! When I'm cooped up at home and just bored of my other workouts, I will walk/run up and down the stairs. Great workout, just be careful. :)
  • Wonderful progress!!!!!!
  • What a difference you've made in your life! Awesome job on hitting 70 lbs lost (as per your ticker) and keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!
  • Usually 2-3 times per week. I just do it when I think about it, but only if I haven't consumed anything yet that day.
  • I got a spiralizer, and I LOVE zucchini noodles. I use "real" noodles for Fetuccine Alfredo every so often, but I make my own marinara to eat with the zucchini noodles and meatballs or sausage, so good! We enjoy it more than "real" spaghetti noodles, just not when it comes to creamy sauces (which are a treat anyway).
  • Whenever I get really close to a major goal, my weight goes everywhere... I'm not sure if my body is fighting it or if I'm just so anxious about how it will feel or what I will do to maintain that goal... It's scary, and I quit and gain the weight back. I successfully stayed at/under my goal weight this last time, by…
  • Congratulations!! I'm glad you got over your fear and tried 'em on. How's it feel to get to wear them [again?]?!
  • Keep up the great work!!! Soon, many more people will ask what you're doing differently!
  • A good friend once told me, "You're losing inches. You're getting smaller. You look fitter. The scale just hasn't gotten the memo yet!" It's true. The scale will catch up. Keep up the great work!
  • Thank you! A friend of mine sent me a "before" photo, from before I even lost the 40 pounds. I forgot it had been taken because I never saw it (she took it with her phone). Of all 3 of my babies and me! I was so happy (ugh, so sad, but so happy) to see it because at least I know now that one exists. I have made it my goal…

  • Sounds good! I'm going to have to check it out!
  • Now the song is stuck in my head!!! Haha. What an amazing feeling, being in control of what you eat instead of letting your appetite and cravings take control of you. It's a new feeling for me, too, and the progress is just wonderful. Keep up the great work!!! :) I'm adding you
  • Yes! I'm with ya!
  • Wow, this is a huge step that I've thought about taking for a long time but haven't had the courage to do it. I keep saying I need it to keep in touch with relatives who live a 17-hour drive away, but I find myself going to the website all the time, always catching up on my newsfeed. It's awful.
  • When my daughter was born 3 months ago, I just held all 3 of my babies in my arms and cried hysterically. I didn't have ANY photos of myself with my babies because I was so ashamed of the way I looked. I can't go back. I can't fix it. I know they will be disappointed when they grow up and look at their baby pictures, and…
  • I absolutely needed this. My anxiety (over my weight) was so bad before starting to lose weight - I'm still struggling, but it is already better with 40 pounds lost. I am thankful that you shared your story and gave me hope that with losing weight, I'll gain the confidence to overcome this.
  • Yes!!!!!!! You did great!
  • Thinking about how far I've come now keeps me motivated. My kids do, too. They're so young (2, 1, and 3 months), and I don't ever want them to remember me this way. I want them to remember me as a healthy, active parent. I want them to learn to be healthy and active as well.
