Good Luck on your run, I have been toying with the idea of running a 5k too (dont know why, because i hate running).

So sorry about your loss. you can add me if you like. I don't know if it will help or not but I try to think of how proud my lost loved one will be of me if I keep going and be strong.

does wiping it off after it falls on the floor count as "clean" :-)

i have had same issue in past, and still get this once in a while. it is old blood - if you have pain that is different story. try a plain vinegar/water douche and see if that helps. do not douche every month though as it can cause yeast infections if done too often.

i weigh myself almost every day but do not log it until i have stayed around the same weight (within 1-3 lbs) for several weeks in a row. i also found that i weigh more right after i workout (assuming muscles are "swollen") cuz later in day that extra weight is gone.

i have seen them too, but have not yet tried them.

i agree with TLCameron.. my daughters talked me into the Twilight books and they are really good!

keep in mind that MFP already creates a deficit based on your "lifestyle"

If I know I am going out and where we are going I go to the website and look up the nutrition guide - most places especially chains have them now - then i can decide what i am going to have before i get there.

Ah the million dollar question...how to make good moment to moment decisions. i feel your pain, i have found that this site has helped me a lot, especially since i can use my phone to log in my exercise right away instead of waiting til i get on computer. it makes me more accountable...one less excuse. i think a goal helps…

Drink lots of water after a hard workout...i found that it really does help recovery

To not gain weight around TOM time is a loss..i usually put on 4-7 lbs each month..this past month i did not put on any weight and when TOM arrived i was actually 1-2 lbs lighter.

I did the same thing, I signed up about 2 months before I actually started using the site. Good luck in your journey and hope you get happy news soon!

i too hate working out, i had to try several different things until i found one i like..right now it is cardio kickboxing..once i get to point i am clock watching i start looking for something else..i am considering the Julian 30 day shred so many ppl seem to like it and are getting results..i am more likely to stick to…

i report those type as cardio...anything that gets your heart pumping without weights.

I have had the same problem. I am committed to sticking with it though and after about a month i finally saw the scale start to drop. I also notice that the calories burned on MFP may be different than say the calories my treadmill says i have burned. So if i use the higher calories burned and "eat" those it may be too…

As a bartender i have learned a few "tricks" over the years. If you are going to drink then Wine is better than liquor (red better than white) Vodka (especially Belvadere) is lower in calories than other liquors (mix with diet coke, light cranberry juice etc), if your a beer drinker switch to Mich Ultra or MGD 64 (put a…

I work with a guy that is a personal trainer and he said rule of thumb is 3 grams of protien per pound of weight ( so 150 pound person could eat 450 grams of protien) but unless you are eating "half a cow" twice a day shouldnt be an issue

I too gain as much as 7 lbs during my TOM. and i know that when you build muscle it can add inches, and i agree that you should look at some before and after pics. i have a friend that is a personal trainer and he said do not go by BMI as it does not take muscle into account (if that were the case he is 30 lbs overweight -…

Congrats!!!! Keep it going

I hear you. I lost 100 lbs after my divorce and gained quite a bit back. I am seeing my girls and sis lose weight and they are looking soooo good and i am having same problem i always do. i lose 5 gain 3, lose 5 gain 2, it is very frustraiting - but going to keep working on it!!

I feel exactly the same way. I work 6 days a week but the M-F is way easier to stick to and on the weekend it is harder to track, even using my phone. I guess it is a burden we all share. I am also very bad at letting people know that I am trying to lose weight. Then if I fail no one will be the wiser.
