That's not rudeness. I would offend you all the time, cause when I go out to eat I don't order healthy. Would you seriously hold it against your friend for eating how they wanna eat just because you're trying to lose weight? My best friend is a dancer and she eats whatever she wants in front of me. Do you think I sit there…

Weight loss is mostly about what you eat over anything else. How are you eating? If you're not eating 1200 calories a day because the foods you eat cause you to go over, by how much are you going over? My suggestion is to up how many calories you eat to 1500 at least (I can't see how anyone can honestly only eat that…

BAH! I can really relate to how you feel and what your struggles are. See, I hate calorie counting too. That's why I don't log the exact foods I eat. I just log the calories. Quick calories is my friend. :) I've been trying to lose weight for going on 5 years, and like you, I would obsess over eating and weight loss. But…

You know you're too old when: You start mispronouncing your child's tv shows (Pokemon becomes PokeMAN, Yugioh becomes YuJIoh). Sometimes you mispronounce it on purpose just to show how insignificant the shows are. Facebook becomes too annoying to maneuver You don't know half of what's playing on the radio Grocery shopping…

This. I can relate to this. My parents rarely let us have junk. We got pop once a year, on Thanksgiving. My dad made us say no if we were offered any sort of snack. I hated it. Then I got to college and gained 50 pounds. I ate nothing but junk and drank pop for breakfast. Voila, obese. It's about balance and moderation.

ROFLMAO!!! THIS!!!! Annnnnnd..... Even though I do agree that "fun" foods aren't necessarily the best foods, I have yet to see how it's comparable to child abuse. I think forcing her children to eat things like kale is setting them up to look like 2 demensional anoerexics. I mean, God forbid they gain any weight. Lets hope…

Ramadan Mubawak Sis, I know it's hard resisting temptation when family makes dessert for the breaking of fast. The thing is to not indulge. Unfortunately some Muslims treat breaking fast as more of a physical feast rather than a mental or spiritual feast. I agree somewhat with AJ_G, however, I wouldn't eat a meal in the…

This is actually one of the reasons why I don't like it. I struggle everyday with fighting the urge to eat, so seeing it so vividly described disturbs me. It's a struggle fighting the urge to eat, so seeing it so vividly described is disturbing. However, my personal issues don't make him a bad writer. He's a great writer,…

....... I'm sorry, but reading this has me totally, and utterly disgusted. Now, don't get me wrong, the man is an amazingly descriptive writer. His writing skill is comparable to Stephen King, at least to me. Stephen King is of course, more refined, but OP definitely can make you see what he wants you to see. Nevertheless,…

I can really relate to this topic. When I was in high school I fluctuated between 160-170 pounds. This may seem heavy to some, but I didn't look that heavy. Plus I always liked the "thick girl" look, I think partly cause that was what was considered attractive when I was in high school. When I got to college I gained about…

Well, first off, congrats on the success that you are having. Losing weight with a heart defect and PCOS has got to be very difficult. And I know what you mean when it comes to having the cards stacked against you. My family seems to be indifferent to me losing weight. Indifference is hard too, because since they don't…

Wow, I'm so sorry for what you're going through right now. I agree with what the other posters are saying, . I think you need to give yourself a break from weight loss right now. It sounds like maintaining is going to be hard enough as it is. I'm a very emotional eater, so I know how hard it is to be going through…

Hey there. I know it's hard juggling a family and losing weight, but if it is something you wanna do it's something you have to put your mind to and stick with it. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you seem to have a lot of excuses as to why you can't lose weight, eat healthy or exercise. You don't have to…

Wow, I can feel the pain in this thread. I know having a baby can take a toll on our bodies physically, but can I project another way of looking at things: I also had a baby going on 6 months ago in a few short days. I don't mean to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, because I need to lose more weight than any women who…

Wow. 100 pounds is nothing to shake a stick at. Congratulations. You should be very proud of yourself.
