I agree with this poster. I tried the vegetarian thing and thought it would be pretty easy because I've never been a meat lover, but I did miss things like chicken, so now I try to eat vegetarian 2-3 days a week!

If there is one thing that is worth the debt, it is your education. Best of luck to you!

Tortilla soup from the Betty Crocker Everyday Vegetarian cookbook! Delish!

I like this idea!

Quaker Oatmeal Squares with a Hint of Brown Sugar. Yum!! And the Kashi Go Lean Crunch is pretty good too.

Such an inspiration! You look great!!

I've never been to Clearwater, but I've spent a lot of time in the Sarasota area (not too far from Clearwater), and EVERYWHERE you go serves fish. Just make sure it's not fried :) Enjoy your trip!

Amazing change! Keep up the great work!

Oof, liquid diets are the worst! Hopefully this is only for a couple days! In the meantime, concentrate on recovering. I wouldn't worry too much about eating too few calories since this is only temporary :).

You must feel amazing! Such an inspiration- keep up the great work!!!!

I actually really like the Weight Watchers scale that I have. It's been with me for about 5 years now (although it did not get a whole lot of use until this year lol). It's digital, and I've not had any problems with it!

You look awesome! Keep up the great work!

I'm no expert, but when I started working out and watching what I ate, it took a few weeks for me to start losing. Sometimes, I think when we start something new, our bodies say, "HOLD ON A SECOND....WHAT IS GOING ON?" And we don't lose any weight or see any changes until our bodies adjust and know that we aren't trying to…

Cottage cheese?

You're never too old! We all need to start somewhere. I'm 27, and I started earlier this year. :) Best of luck to you!

As your PT for ideas. I like the swimming recommendation too! Also, you might be able to use the elliptical? Your feet aren't pounding on the pavement like they are when running, so that might be an option!

Awesome! Keep up the great work!

When I started the C25K, I read a book called something like the "Complete Guide to Running" (not sure of the exact title) published by Runner's World. It had some really good advice for beginning runners. Some advice that I will always remember is that when you start running, you should barely be running faster than you…

Agreed. Plus, airplanes and flying make you retain water (at least this is what my own personal opinion is). Whenever I fly, I always wait a couple of days before I weigh myself!

Search for "Strength training" in the exercise database. That is what I use for my PT sessions. It probably underestimates the calorie burn though.
-
It all just depends on your body! I'm 5'5", so a tad shorter than you, and the doctor said that my goal weight should be around 150-155 after accounting for lots of factors like frame size and others that I do not remember (sorry, that's not very helpful)!

I use honey to sweeten my tea- maybe that is something you can try?

Hmm, I honestly didn't know such things existed. I'm going to have to check this out tonight.

You could work your way up to just egg whites. If you eat two eggs, do one with the yolk and one without for a while, and then at some point, eliminate both yolks.

On my off days I do strength training and the elliptical, the bike, or I walk.

Funny you mention this...I find I'm letting it slide more and more now that I'm working out! No drying hair anymore- it's just easier to put it up in the morning. Plus, I find that I don't really wear a whole lot of jewelry anymore either. I'm too scared to leave it in a locker at the gym after work when I workout! Glad…

Oooh, great idea! I'm going to try the pita pockets!

I usually rest on Wednesdays and Sundays, and workout the rest of the days.

There are so many reasons to drink water! First, it's a zero calorie natural beverage that keeps you hydrated. Keeping yourself hydrated is incredibly important, as we all know. Plus, if you don't drink enough water, you can feel sluggish and tired. Additionally, if you drink a glass of water before a meal, some studies…

Sure, why not? But if it's caffeinated, you should probably limit to 1-2 cups a day! And brew your own if possible. I was surprised at all the extra crap in some of the store-bought iced teas.
