  • Shoulders, Upper Arms, Lower Arms, Abdomen, Cheeks, Neck, and Chin ... all definitely smaller - I think there's great improvement already! It's sort of like you've toned up everywhere and lost a bit!
  • That's not a minor success story, that's a major one. Losing weight is hard enough, doing it while eating right is even tougher. Throw depression into the mix and that's a huge challenge....but you're doing it!!! Exercise is supposed to be the best anti-depressant there is, and I'm glad you're having success!!!
  • That is so wonderful!!!! You give all the rest of us hope for bathing suit weather :flowerforyou:
  • That's some great results you're seeing! I can really tell in your arms especially. It seems like everyone gets a 'better' butt from this workout, and you are too! I'm starting in January with my daughter. I only did about a week of it last time and hope to do all 30 this goaround. Congrats on your fantastic job!
  • Yes, I get that whenever I start exercising (any type). I eat back my calories, but I haven't quite gotten into the habit of not eating more than my exercise calories. At least I'm exercising...that's step one!
  • Most definitely Shawshank Redemption, followed by the Indiana Jones movies and Star Wars movies "get busy living, or get busy dying" "snakes...why does it always have to be snakes" "these aren't the droids you're looking for"
  • This one made me chuckle. As a nurse, I can tell you nurses have some of the worst eating habits. One day my ex was waiting outside to pick me up and he counted how many of the nurses were overweight, and it was more than 50%. although I think it's improving, it seemed like more nurses smoke than those in the general…
  • You know what's great about this thread? I think it's fair to say that everyone who posted had a point. Some were more zealous than others, but they all had good thoughts about the issue and/or the problem. Just like training ourselves to eat healthy and exercise, there are always obstacles in the way with our kids. It's…
  • If you haven't done this workout before and aren't in great shape, may I suggest buying lighter rather than heavier weights....I couldn't decide between the two weight options at target and I was very glad I went with the lighter weights. Also, if you get too worn out with the weights, switch to a bottle of water...it's…
  • Sorry to hear about your job...hope there's something much better around the corner for you! Count me in...I will try to tackle that along with C25K and gym workouts...it may be more than I can manage, but I'll give it a go:happy:
  • What a great story - you're very inspiring to me! Thanks for mentioning about the asthma, too. I always have a rough time in cold weather. I just started back at w5 of the c25k and had my first really cold run the other day. My breathing was better than usual, and maybe that's why. WOW WOW WOW and way to go!
  • Wow, you look fantastic! I especially love the picture of your face in the blue shirt. The blonde hair is very becoming, too! Best of luck with your last few steps :flowerforyou:
  • WOW!!!! You look absolutely beautiful? Can I make a totally unrelated suggestion? If you've never done a grandma-mom-daughter picture you should have one taken. It's uncanny how much you all look alike - great genes in your family:happy:
  • But you do still look like yourself....that same great smile!!!! But otherwise, you look like a totally transformed woman!
  • Current Job....Self employed reviewing home health agency documentation for accuracy and to assign ICD9 codes Dream Job....CEO of my own non-profit organization that distributes gifts to those in need from my PowerBall lottery ticket winnings:happy:
  • My feedback is .....OWWWWWIE! I don't think my legs were ever more sore from a workout:noway:
  • I'm sorry, but so far you win the award for making me laugh the loudest...my dog got up and left the room because I woke her up laughing!!! Still laughing just thinking about it!!!!! Gotta tell my trainer about this thread on Tuesday
  • You are clearly one very smart (and beautiful!) woman....I read your profile and you have it ALL together - great job!
  • You were working with a physician when you were on Medifast, and likely there's also a dietician available. The advice in this thread has been excellent, but if you want more confirmation talk to them...I'm sure they'll confirm what others have said.
  • Very nicely put, and ditto:happy: (except the part about the finish line...haven't made it there just yet)
  • I love you after pic with the clothes. Your grandson must be so proud of you - he sure looks it in the photo at the race! Amazing accomplishments!
  • What a motivating post - I'm curious how tall you are...would you share? You really look fantastic!
  • bbbbb33333: Get on your bikes and ride!
  • Rebee17: You have a side job as a model for crest strips and blush :blushing: ...no not that kind, the make-up kind!
  • Perhaps, but beats lazy middle aged guy (or young guy, for that matter) who doesn't move off the couch for fear of knocking his beer off his belly:bigsmile:
  • Those pictures were so great it would have been fun even without the weight loss...but guess what...you both look FANTASTIC!
  • Hmmmm.....where are you meeting those women? Everyone likes someone that appears attractive to them and most have a preference for a certain 'look'....but with the exception of some really air-head people (think the recent TV chick who divorced in 3 months AFTER getting the mega-rock and million dollar wedding) don't we…
  • Bump...will have to give this a go...it's the first time I've come across your challenge posts
  • I agree with you about trying to fit things into your scedule....I had to laugh because when I glanced at your MFP name quickly I thought it said "Deskgirl"....I'm thinking "she has the same problem as me-she's tied to a desk with limited workout time" At the risk of sounding very cliche, my weight loss doctor told…
