Now THAT is one handsome man! What a great picture to show off your hard work!
-
You look great, and I love the pic of you in you at the race - you look very fit. What a great way to get people to read your post - put (topless) in the subject line!

No wonder your name is trudiJOY - talk about the joy you can get from those pictures!!! I'm so happy for you!

Walking is a wonderful start! Many people lose a lot of weight just by eating decently (not perfect) and walking regularly. YOu picked a screen name of 'Firecracker', so I'm betting you can work around any rude people you might encounter at the gym. Think about that song, "Baby your a firework" and don't be so down on…

I love your 'ANS'! I'm not super competitive, but it does help to boost the ego and give you 'strength' when you see you're not at the back of the pack. I'm a beginner runner and my goal is always to NOT be the first to have to stop running and start walking, and NOT to be the last to finish. Since I could barely run a…

That's a fantastic story - kudos to you for taking control of your life and earning such magnificent results! Very Inspirational :flowerforyou:

That's impressively high actually. Awesome amount of lean body mass.
Well I am 5ft 10.5 inches tall 142 is not really that high.
I'm 'just' 5'9" but if I can make 142 look half that good someday I'll be ecstatic. I started working with a trainer for 3 weeks of prep to get into 5x5s and I'm feeling great.…

So the original, amazing post was in January - how are you doing now?????? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!
-
Welcome! I'd be happy to support you and you can do the same for me. I'm also 5'9" and had a total of about 90# to lose. The first 45 came off, but 14 snuck back on. I've banished 5 of those for good now and have the next 55# to go. We can do it :) Please don't "hate who you've become" - I'm betting you're still the same…

Wow, Kcaffee- you have done an amazing job with the sticktoitidness! You look like a different person in your face, especially. ....and blondegah, you look fantastic, too! I'm 5'9" and I love seeing successful, tall women :)

@Sam - see if that shiny shirt is as smooth as it looks!

Thanks much for your input. I was glad to hear she has a 4 year degree in exercise science in addition to certification as a trainer. Most of the trainers at the local gym train based on the fact that their into lifting themselves. Sometimes they're great, other times I hear questionable things. She was eating plain…

I'm in Brunswick now, was in Medina and Valley City for a time, and grew up in Parma - those darn pierogis must have done a number on my waistline~

That's some amazing success and great change! Keep up the fine work, keep feeling fantastic about yourself (obviously, you ARE fantastic), and check in with the doc just to make sure everything's in order
-
Absolutely beautiful work! I'd like to know how much you're lifting in the pics, too. Also, could you let us know your height? Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm happy you're here and it is a wonderful community of people. I really have found the support to be helpful. As long as you can find the balance you'll no doubt get a lot of benefit. My MFP friends and the "Success Stories" are my personal favorites. A big 'Thank you for the laughs' to the posters who mentioned their…

From the side bar on my MFP page first thing this morning: Recent Forum Topics View All **Question's Only** Free weights vs weight machines The Movie Game Last Thing In Your Mouth Poop Something about reading "Last thing in your mouth" followed by "poop" didn't go together. Just to make the record clear....oatmeal....

Here's the best part - it's only going to get better~ :flowerforyou:

I am not a big fan of asking your 'regular' doctor questions about how to lose weight, what you're doing wrong, what you should do differently, etc. Medical school and residency doesn't provide in-depth education in this area, and physicians cannot be an expert on everything. I do highly recommend seeing a bariatric…

I agree with the good shoes and the C25K suggestion. I spent about the same at Fleet Feet and couldn't be happier - I used to get shin splints when I was younger and weighed a lot less, but I've had no trouble at all. I also recommend you invest in a good running bra if you need to worry about those sorts of things. I got…

Great job! Maintaining is tough - if you've made it a year I think your "after" pic will be the only 'you' we'll be seeing

You look great! 74# is an amazing loss :flowerforyou:
