Welcome to the group! It's a lot of work, but it's neat to feel your endurance start to improve with each time you do the workout! Let us know how you're doing with it! @Donicagalek - that's really funny! Digging our grave might be less work - can't you just hear Jillian? "Come on ladies, put your back into that…

I got through W3 D3 today, but I'm with Bob...someone must have put cement in my shoes! I did see a small improvement on how I got through the first set of 90 sec/3 min, so that's encouraging. Sooner or later, I'll get there! Has anyone else run into this? - Now that it's finally getting nicer out, some of the neighbors…

What a great transformation! I bet your wife is thrilled with your results, and that cute little son of yours is going to look at these pictures in a few years and say, "Who's that guy holding me?" He's always going to remember you as healthy and vital!

You've made great progress in 6 short months, and congrats on getting a handle on your ED - that's a tough thing to do and you should be so proud of yourself! I think you're going to have to change your MFP name though....instead of FatallyBroken maybe something like NeverBeenBetter :flowerforyou:

Thanks to our original poster and to you for sharing. My numbers went way out of wack in just a short time (like 3 months-ish) and I'm looking forward to checking all the labs again in June. My A1C is still in the normal range but trending upwards, and all the cholesterol numbers are somewhat off where they used to be in…

Thanks for sharing your pics! I put a link to your thread on another thread where a bunch of us started the Shred about 2 weeks ago. I wanted all my buddies on there to see how great you're doing and be even more motivated!
-
I just saw another person posted success pics from the shred, and you can definitely see a change even though the pics are a little bit from a distance - here's the post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/227836-30-day-shred-success-w-pics

I did day 4 (or 5-lost count!) of Level 1 yesterday...then mowed the grass and then ran a little with the dogs...what a workout day! I am feeling a little stronger in keeping up with the cardio and the strenght moves. It's a small improvement, but it's definitely there. For those of you weighing and measuring, don't be…

Thanks TS! I'm hanging in there...just like losing weight in general, I'm always wishin' it would happen faster! :ohwell:

But here's the good news.....(1) You're back (2) This will be the last time you 'start over' because you're going to succeed! You are right about the carbs. Try to increase your protein significantly, cut out any processed/refined sugars (stick to fruits), increase fiber, and limit the "white" foods like bread, pasta,…

"I do have a conference this weekend, Thursday-Sunday. I'm taking my laptop and the DVD to try to fit in my 30DS workouts either in the morning before meetings or during lunch. My day will go from 7 AM to 11 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so we'll see what works best. I'm sharing a room, so I can't really get up early…

Boy, I feel like I'm falling behind. I went out this morning to do W3D2 with my daughter and did worse than ever. I couldn't make the last 30 seconds of the first 3 minute run and it went downhill from there. We just kept moving and I ran once I caught my breath for as long as I could then alternated walking. I think I'll…

You're right...it IS scary...but it's doable. It's one heck of a good workout, that's for sure. I'm just doing day 4 later today. When I can't keep up with a move like jumping jacks for instance, take a little break and just do the arm motion. If the weights get to heavy, set them down and do the exercise without them.…

I bet most of us on MFP feel/felt the same way about food. Let's face it...food is delicious!!! You're right when you say you can't totally, all out binge (too self-destructive), but you can enjoy some of your favorites in moderation. I was famous for always mourning the loss of food. Have you heard of food funerals?…

Bumping this up again for the folks newer to the site...it's SUCH a great post! You know how the shampoo bottle says "Lather...rinse...repeat?" Read this, eat healthyexercise, repeat!!!

If it was raining and I soaked up a lot of rain, did that make me run slower? Water weighs a lot, right??? W3D1 and I just couldn't get my body to do it. My 1st 90 run and 3 minute run I squeaked through. On the 2nd set, I could only do 1 minute and then 90 seconds instead of the full 3 minutes. I did run an extra 60…

I used runkeeper.com - it was my first time on that website, and I need to check out mapmyrun and compare the two. Then I can see which one looks better for me. Technology is just too cool!

That's a great victory! I love hearing from people like you who've been able to tackle the 5K before losing all your weight - it gives me hope that I'm following right behind you in your shoes!
-
 Thanks so much for posting - you have made an amazing journey and I appreciate the inspiration - I'm aiming for a 5K this summer and then working towards a 1/2 marathon after that
-
That's a fantastic success story! That's a very nice dress, but you make it look BEAUTIFUL!!!! :flowerforyou:
-
Hi Cutiger - Thanks for the link to this. It definitely is very inspiring. I'm glad to hear you did W3 in your hilly section of town. It gives me hope for tomorrow in my neighborhood. I had put my route into another site and it said I have a three foot incline - now that's a serious hill! I'm still having a tough time with…

I feel your scale pain! I did the "2 weeks no loss" thing myself recently, but today I broke 200 pounds - YEAH!!!!! All this exercise is finally paying off! I did Day 3 of Level 1 today, and for those who are curious about calories burned, here's the info from my heart rate monitor for today: 280 Calories Burned at an…

Welcome to the group! I just was able to do Day 2 today...had done day one back on Monday...as my body was still dying and I've been doing the C25K runs as that's my primary workout and I can't fall behind in that. Today I'm going to try running this evening since I did the shred in the a.m. - Hopefully I'll still be alive…
-
Wowza!!! You're looking absolutely fantastic! Be very proud:bigsmile:
-
I forgot to mention...although I'm still falling in the "normal range", my A1C went up from Jan to March, and that was a definite "uh oh" moment for me! Here's to getting healthier:drinker:
-
Welcome mom of three! This site has allowed me to stay (relatively) focused on eating healthy and very focuse on exercising regularly. If you can do some good exercise, it would be so good for your A1C and fantastic for your weight. Check out the message boards and use the search feature, as I'm sure there's probably some…

You're TOOOOO funny!!! And this from a man who's picture on his profile has him about 3/4" tall on my computer screen....and some antlers:tongue: Thanks for the laugh!
-
I'm currently at a 42D and I'm sure I'll lose some of that as the weight comes off. I don't want to have reduction done as I'm 5'9" and they don't look out of proportion for me, but I would like for them to be hanging at about half way down my arms instead of closer to my elbows! Has anyone had a lift done, and if so, what…

There's just no way words can express how happy I am for you! You are living proof that we can all reach our goals with enough determination! Thank you so much for sharing, and please keep on posting throughout your journey. I am certain you've made an impression on more people than you can begin to imagine both on MFP and…

Isn't it fun when people start to notice that you're losing? The other thing I like (and am still amazed by) is when someone tells me I'm inspiring THEM to exercise. On one of my better weight loss attempts a girl at work who does a lot of bike riding told me my efforts were inspiring her to start eating better in addition…
