Here is a thread on the comparison of the two. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/848530-fitbit-or-polar-ft7

I have a Polar FT 7, it syncs with the web and keeps track of the data. I have been using mine for over 4 years and love it. It is in the $140 price range and you will need a Polar Flowlink if you want the data downloaded. Great investment.

Thanks and I hope you had a productive day also.

Thanks Mrs Davis. It was so nice I did 30 miles and burned over 2400 calories... Now I need to decide what to eat since I have a huge surplus.

I did 30 miles in 2 hr and 20 min. Over 2300 calories burned. Nice ride.

I suggest a good heart rate monitor. That way you can track your caloric burn and enter that. I have a polar that can be connected to a PC and it records the data. I love it and I have been using it for years.

After months of snow and cold weather today will be 70. Going for a 20 mile bike ride to kick off per spring weather. Great day to be out side.

Thanks for the great inputs. I'll check out the garmins.

I have two, one road and one hybrid, both bianchi's. I just ordered a cannondale Quick S2 that should be here in two weeks. Can't wait for the snow to leave so I can start riding.
