  • kicklikeagirl, but she didn't explain WHY. I said I understood too.
  • Right but she can't win at the end without the most weight loss. There's no immunity in the last weigh-in.
  • To be fair, I don't have a problem with the red team. But as far as taking the spot of someone who wants to be there to lose weight, that's really a joke because there are lots of people on that show that don't give it their all. The game consists of losing the highest percentage of weight, so if she isn't losing weight,…
  • You might want to fix that, because 6 ounces is 6 ounces. Try wording it differently. And I'm not picking on you, because I understand what you meant, but others might not.
  • The slit down the middle helps relieve pressure on the nerves between the butt and genitals. Many guys who use traditional seats long term (as in, for 20 miles a day for 5 days a week) have nerve/impotency problems so just FYI, they're unisex.
  • I caught the tail-end of a chef doing "healthy" mac and cheese on the Today Show this morning. Check out their website and see if you can find it.
  • Here I bumped into this link while reading something else: http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_column/02/benefits-of-kettlebells-for-women/ It specifically refers to it as weight training and says you should couple it with cardio workouts.
  • There's no reason not to watch and ride. Make sure your seat is high enough so that your leg is almost straight at the bottom of the cycle.
  • How is a kettlebell anymore cardio than any other strength training? You certainly need both cardio and strength, I just don't know how a kettlebell gives you the same kind of cardio as swimming, or running, or roller skating.
  • I was going to say Peanut Butter as well, but since you're over on protein and low on the other two I'd say fruit or whole grain for carbs or guacamole for fats! :-D
  • Way to go! My wife decided to try on old clothes she couldn't fit into anymore this weekend also. After a few successes she pulled one out and said "i've never been able to wear this" and proceeded to fit into it. She's so happy, but worried it's not in style anymore because she's had it like 10 yrs. lol :-D
  • Amazing, keep on doing what you're doing. You inspire me!
  • If you aren't doing the easy stuff, why give yourself something hard to do? If you get the Shred and it kicks your butt, you'll be less likely to keep up with it. You need small steps so that you can get motivation from simple successes. First goal: log everything Second goal: eat smart Third goal: exercise =D HTH
  • Most people here will tell you that's okay, as I see lots of people doing it. Just like doctors say you can't run a sleep deficit all week and expect to make up for it on the weekends, my personal opinion is the best choice is to work out super well the day you need the calories.
  • Thanks Jenna423! Now I have to figure out what else to measure :-) I don't need any more scary numbers looking back at me. lol
  • You both need to be eating the same things because it's healthy is only one type of food. You just need to eat less than you burn and your son needs to eat more (lots of lean proteins)!
  • Dr Oz says sex helps fill the satiety center of the brain so fulfilling that need with sex helps not eating too much. And really not TMI, it's a natural human thing to do. :-)
  • Read this for a few tips: http://eatthis.menshealth.com/slideshow/10-ways-eat-healthy-mexican-cantina Chicken or fish. Skip the chips. Corn tortillas over flour. Sub black beans for refried if possible. HTH!
  • Absolutely correct. You do those diets, you lose weight, you stop you put it back on. When you want to lose again you buy more from them. When you change the way you eat for good--the MFP way--you have control.
  • Steamed veggies with broiled fish!
  • Yeah, I'd suspect you need to bump it up a level and see how you do for a week or so before you decide whether or not the new goal is working for you.
  • That is very good info to have--thanks so much!
  • My wife's is Endangered Species Chocolate 88% cacoa.
  • Just ran into this: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1835264
  • Here's another: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1835264
  • I actually just read something to do with it a day or two ago... let me see if I can find it and I'll brb! edit: How's that for quick! To temper kale's bitter taste, gently sauté it with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chopped garlic, and pine nuts.
  • LoL maybe you need a jacket! ;-) Bob from the Biggest Loser recommends gum (specifically sugar free) in these situations. My wife gets cabin fever really quickly. She resorts to cleaning the house. You could clean the house and chew the gum! :-D
  • Have you thought about dropping him off and picking him up so you have the car all day? And who says it's too cold to take the dog for a walk? My dogs always love to go on walks! Get your boxer a jacket.
  • Phentermine is only approved by the FDA for "a few weeks". Just keep in mind that it's not for long term use. http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/PostmarketDrugSafetyInformationforPatientsandProviders/ucm180078.htm
