Maybe of interest: http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/health/teen-eats-ramen-noodles-13-years-article-1.1312782 Love this part: "Readman's doctors said she is malnourished and has the health of an 80-year old. She weighs about 98 pounds at 5'3". Yummy noodles.

Really sad my heart attack threw me into the "idiot" group. Don't judge folks at the gym, you don't know what health issues they're dealing with and there maybe very good reasons why they're doing cardio for so long. And do both weights/cardio when trying to lose weight, when you reach your goal swap to more weights.

In my backpack (laptop style) I bring a wide variety of calculated snacks on top of what I normally eat that day. So if I get stuck at work I have enough "healthy" calories to survive for some extra hours. They never get stale cause I'll often hear a coworker complain of hunger and toss an extra snack at them. So in my…

Well... "A moment of clarity is when you suddenly get a deep understanding of some truth that's been out of reach for you. When your vision becomes unclouded and focused by a mad rush of what has been called an epiphany or revelation. People suffering form addictions use this phrase to refer to a moment when they are not…

Your 1330 calories is where you want to be at with any exercise adjustments. So if you do zero exercise for a day, you only eat 1330. If you do 600 calories worth of exercise, you now eat 1930. Just make sure you have a plan to spread those calories throughout the day vice in one sitting. You also need a high accuracy of…

What I did was drink only water for one week, then "sometimes" use MiO water enhancer or herbal/black/green tea (zero sweetener). Maybe one bottle a day out of 6. It's been five months, when I taste soda now I have no idea how I ever drank it. I think the key to staying away from soda is letting your taste buds reset with…

Are you guys selling these bars or something? I keep seeing posts in the forum about how good they taste, can someone explain how they're using them? Weight loss program or bulking? Meal replacement? I see protein, carbs, salt and no other nutritional value. Am I wrong? There just seems to be other things I could eat that…

I think your plan sounds horrible. This thread reads like you're asking permission to do it. You don't have my permission. Sorry. Your plan is bad, you should feel bad. You're a diabetic, you've been promoted to a level where you must talk to professionals instead of forum users with good intentions. Go google…

After reading this thread the only thing I can think is "why am I not a billionaire?"

I'm also noticing it, but attribute it to weight loss. I've been able to move the AC up a few levels and save some energy. A couple years ago I spent time in the middle east and got very used to running 8 miles four times a week in the hot desert. When I got back, I was freezing anytime it was colder than 80ish degrees.…

Do whatever works best for you, there's no right answer. I lift Mon/Wed/Fri and do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio Mon-Fri after lifting. It's easier to push to the end of the cardio routine than it is to push heavy weights after a cardio workout. My body adapted.

This is a very good point. 30 hard minutes on an elliptical is 382 calories for me, 15 on a rowing is 150 (target cardio heart rate). The machines I use calculate via weight. If your using what MFP says, it's way off actual to a point where it could wreck your fitness goals (sorry MFP). I have a heart rate monitor arriving…

If you're sure your tracking calories accurately, just keep going. I had a three week period of the same problem, and all the sudden 10 lbs dropped off in 3 days. I couldn't figure out if it was water retention, something I was eating or what. It's a mystery. But what's not a mystery is that I just kept doing what I knew…

Green tea is loaded with awesomeness, makes you feel full and fights fat. It also gives your body something to work on during the night.

Nothing if you're actually sticking with a healthy diet and counting calories. It's normal for weight to fluctuate even more than 6 lbs, this can be caused by water gain alone if you've been been eating foods high in sodium. Limiting salt intake and drinking lots of water actually reduces your water retention. I had a…
