I almost always eat at a deficit. I workout hard and often. My stomach has FINALLY started changing within the last 3 weeks. I would share a picture but I don't feel comfortable with that. However, I haven't lost ANY weight in over 3 months, but my clothes are nearly falling off of me. So, I started taking measurements on…

When I log in my activity into MFP I have to put a start time and how long I exercised for. What that does is to (basically) not give me fitbit credit for those calories. For example: Burned 500 running Fitbit says I'm on track to burn 2400 calories for the day MFP (including the 500 burned) says I will burn 2300 calories.…

I apologize that I assumed anti-depressants are the same as stabilizers. I really didn't know. I do know a girl that was diagnosed with bipolor disorder. She plays hockey which burns a ton of calories. She gained an unreal amount of weight too. So, Yeah....something in the meds is messing with your metabolism.

I'm on 150mg of Zoloft and 50mg of Trazodone. I have been able to lose weight on these. I do have PCOS as well, but not taking medications for that. My weightloss has stalled so I'm going to the doctor to help with my insulin resistance. As for the antidepressents I was told that they either make you feel sluggish so you…

I hate asking questions like this because I do get the traditional answers about weighing food or overestimating my calories burned. Here are facts about me. I wear a HRM for all sanctioned exercises. I also wear a fitbit. I weigh everything. EVERYTHING. I didn't lose 60lbs guesstamating. When you have insulin resistance…

I'm so glad you are back at it. I missed you. You are an inspiration.

I just want to be able to find pretty bra's. Right now I am buying the Playtex or Just My Size bra's when I actually see one that is in my size (Hard to find).

Thank you. My diary has been all over the place since Girl Scout cookie season. I'm definetely trying to lower my carbs. I'm not an Atkins person. I just want to lower the carbs and up the protein. To me--I'm doing just that. To others I'm probably carb overloading. Back in January I was sick and I had to take several…

I'm not against drinking diet sodas or consuming products with artificial sweetners. I put splenda in my coffee daily. I don't eat "clean". All I do is eat/drink better than I used to. I only live once so to deprive my body of anything is absurd to me. With that being said...I want to drink a lot of water, but I get tired…

So....this particular brand is no different than drinking a diet soda, right? There are waters out there that aren't like this though. I love carbonation. So, guess I just need to find the water that doesn't have all the chemicals added. (I knew it was too good to be true).

I understand Water is the almighty #1 drink since our body is made 70% of it. I didn't ask if water was better than "x". I know it is. I'm asking the difference between diet soda and sparkling waters. :)

I was eating salads with every meal. Which consisted of a serving of cheese and croutons. Yeah...once I got a scale I realized I was using about 4x the amount of cheese and one serving of Croutons was 2 freaking croutons. TWO! The scale made me open my eyes and I had to come to the realization that I was very, very off…

This question/concern pops up on this site daily. When I first started I didn't have a food scale. My proportions (I was convinced) were accurate. Yeah....I was way wrong! When I thought I was eating 1200 calories or less a day, I probably was really consuming about 1500. As soon as I got a food scale and started weighing…

hahahaha....This made me laugh out loud :) I have not got bored of the foods I eat. M-F I treat food kind of like work--just very matter-of-fact and routine. Then Friday night-Sun night is when I switch things up. As for exercising I mainly run/jog/walk. I keep my heart rate up and I go for about 65 minutes. My hrm shows I…

Wow! You must be extremely active. All of my calculations are anywhere between 2000-2300. Now I am thinking maybe I need a fitbit to see my actual numbers. Hmm.

I bet you it is a nerve pinched. It feels like fire. Thank you :)

I was friends with a girl at work. She found me and we also connected on Facebook and Myfitnesspal. She was giving me tips and I was eating a set amount of calories and I was walking/running for an hour a day. I would typically burn a significant amount of calories. Well, she never had her diary open to the public. Every…

I have just started taking a prescription medicine in which the side effect is severe constipation. I have been reading up on it and it sounds like you are doing everything right--drinking more water and eating fiber. I typically have a lot of fiber a day, but I believe my problem is my fluid intake. I love water, but I…

I am on two anti-depressants--Zoloft and Tofranil. Both of them the side effects are weight gain. I have been on them for a year. I have lost 52lbs since August. If you tell yourself that the meds are causing you to not lose weight---you are just using it as an excuse. If you exercise and track EVERY calorie--you will lose…

I have been at this weight for so long. I have looked at every calculator out there. Unfortunately if I don't work out my tdee is around 1900 and my bmr is around 1550. Not really much room unless I eat below my bmr or exercise and don't eat back the calories. I just can't believe that I still have 30lbs to lose before I…

I am probably in denial. I know since the start of the year I have too many days where I have been over. Although I try to look at my calories in weekly basis and my calories average at a good number every week.

I just posted a topic about hitting a plateau. I do weigh my food and before I got sick with bronchitis I was running 5 miles a day. I have been fluctuating at the same weight for a month and a half. I read a lot of people on here talking about sodium. That is something I am over every day. I am always over by a lot too. I…

I do weigh all my food. I have Polar watch for my cardio. All of this worked to get me down 45lbs. Since Christmas I keep fluctuation up/down anywhere between 179 and 183. I log everything. Even when I go over. The sad thing is when I started this I thought my goal would be 175. I was losing between 10-15lbs for a few…

I am on Zoloft, but I think the doctor is going to add another drug as it is supposedly helpful with Trich. I just wonder what it would be like to be normal. To not ALWAYS have the urge. I wonder what it would be like to be able to lose weight...and not figure out how to balance losing weight and resisting pulling my hair.…

That is really awesome! I hope in another 6 months I can do that as well :)

I cook my portion seperate from my boyfriend's pasta. Good advice to portion out x amount dry--then cook it---then weigh it again and divide. So, if you make 6oz of pasta and you only want a 2oz serving, just weigh the full amount and divide it by 3---and then you have that amount of the pasta. Does that make sense? It is…
