Good luck! You will love it, I'm sure. :flowerforyou:

Weight is relative. It should be more about body composition IMHO. For example, I'm 5'8 and got down to 136 and looked terrible because I lost weight too fast and a lot of muscle went with it. I bulked up to 144 and gained some muscle. Now I'm cutting and I'm down to 138 and look a million times better. I plan on doing…

I give up. Maybe I'm on ignore.

OP, I'm not sure if you're reading every single post cuz you skipped over my questions a few times and glossed over the above too. It appears you don't weigh your portions and are probably using MFP's calorie burn estimates, which are grossly overestimated. If you want to be accurate with your food intake, you should get a…

You're not answering the most important questions: Do you use a food scale or guesstimate portions? How do you measure calorie burns?
-
^^need these answered.

She's 5'6 and 150. She'd be perfectly safe losing 15 pounds if she wanted to. OP: still need our other questions answered.

Just took a quick glance at your diary. Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears you don't weigh your food. Everything is too perfect in there. I don't see any odd numbers that would result from you weighing things in grams or ounces. Also, I'm not sure what you're doing for exercise but those are huge calorie burns. You're…

How long has it been since you lost weight? What's your calorie intake? Do you use a food scale or guesstimate portions? How do you measure calorie burns? Need a little more info.
-
Plain and simple: eat a little less food. You haven't said anything about actually weighing your food with a food scale. How do you know what your intake is?
-
Don't knock it until you try it. I'm not vegan, but there is an all vegan cafe near my work that has the most amazing food. If it's tasty I really don't care if it's vegan or processed. I  all food.
-
Oh really? Ok, will do! Where do you buy the biscoff kind?
-
I bought a jar a few weks ago, tried it once and now it's just sitting in my cabinet. I was very sad that I didn't like it because it sounded so amazing. Wah wah.

I'm still here and check in every now and then. I loved the program and still use some lifts in my current one. If you have any questions let us know!
-
Right, so if you have big boobs but small shoulders, I fail to see how that resembles an hourglass. You end up looking more like a pear from the back, no?
-
^^I've wondered that too. Why do most calculators use the bust as your top measurement? Shoulders makes more sense to me. If I go by bust I have no idea what I am: Shoulders: 40 Bust: 36 Waist: 29 Hips: 40

The assumptions being made by you in this thread about people's intelligence and knowledge of basic barbell technique are offensive and downright laughable. And just so you know, there are pictures of women doing the lifts in Rippetoe's book so the OP probably won't be scared off by a bunch of "big guys" doing "weird…

I only went to 4 sessions. She taught me improper form on the big lifts and wanted me to focus on machines. Glad I quit going once I read the book. Pretty much started over from scratch and taught myself how to lift.
-
<---Went to a personal trainer to learn proper form when I began lifting weights last year. Then read Starting Strength and learned more than I did in any of my PT sessions. Wish I had saved my money and just read the book. Just checking in.

Thanks.

I thought that too once. But not anymore. I have 50 year olds on my FL that are way hotter than some of the 20 year olds around here. They give me hope.

You are not gaining muscle eating 1200 calories a day. Weight loss is not linear. Some weeks it will go down, other weeks up. As long as the general trend is down, it's all gravy.
-
Have the fast food. Fit it into your calorie and macro goals. Rinse, repeat, be happy! You'll find you can't eat out all the time and still make your calorie/macros, so make eating out a treat that you can do every couple of days. :flowerforyou:

Meh, haterz gonna hate. I still love me some Picard.
-
Or the uniform at least. Holy hell I'm getting all twitterpated just thinking about it.
-
Just beware anytime you increase calories you may gain a little water weight. That's why it's better to test closer to 6 weeks so your body has time to adjust and you can really see if your weight goes down.
-
I know, just wanted to clarify. I don't think there is a proper age difference. I thought Captain John Luke Picard was hot at the age of 13 so I'm all out of wack.
-
As someone who has been skinny fat I'd advise that you just "tone up" on your way down by lifting weights and eating at a slight deficit. Saves you time. Just letting you know. Also, toning up isn't a thing. You can either retain the muscle you have while losing weight now, or bulk and build muscle afterwards like I…

That's not why I was cringing. I'll just leave it at that.
