Most guys are too busy worrying about thier own weights. I'm usually the only female in the weight area......and i can squat more than 80% of those guys in there. 245lbs I'm hitting the weights just as hard as they are, so most of the times I see the expression on thier face.....

Is this real? How have you not passed out by now, Im twice your size and I cannot burn 1600 cal an hr..... When does your body rest and recover?

I did Les Mills Body Pump for a year. My gym changed the classes every 8-10 weeks I think. Eventually my body adjust to it and I plateaued. I eat those string cheese. I eat two of them for a snack.16grams right there. cottage cheese add some powdered protien with some fruit, or a protein bar.

Yes everyone has different goal. Based on your picture you look like you are half my size, Im so jealous. You look great. I didnt go in wanting to be a power lifter or anything, I still dont. I just think its amazing what the human body is capable of doing. Much success to you.

I fell into the 1200 calorie trap. lol seriously I did, but lost alot of muscle, got headaches, no energy, sleepless, hair thinned out etc.....

If your gym offers classes start there. I started on Body Pump because that's all I knew. Machines and cables are great for beginners too. I still use cable machines till this day. But remember, the best free weight is your own body weight. Planks, push ups, squats, tricep dips.. BTW I love cycling!!!

In about 3 months I got off the 1200 cal crap, and gained 20lbs back. I just couldnt do it anymore. 1200 was not enough for me. I didnt want to live like that for the rest of my life. No, start with low weights until you get the form down right. Slowly increase the weights. I do 10 reps and by the 8,9, Im feeling like I want to quit. 10 I feel like a superhero! lol

When I was on 1200 cal, I couldnt push myself because the whole time I was hungry, weak, and all I kept thinking about was food.

I did body pump for over a year, but with the heavy lifting I started about 12 weeks ago or so... When I decided to stop with the barbie weights, I increased the calories and the weights and gained about 10lbs, after your body adjust to the extra calories and protien, my body started to slowly lose that 10lbs, inches…

Yes mam, I think I almost cried that day myself. Never would I ever imagined that I could squat that amount. I use to struggle with 35lb squats!

Yea when I first started I didnt know much either. I just did what MFP recommended. After I plateaued, I didnt understand why I wasnt losing anything anymore....maybe maybe I should eat less and excercise more!!! Nope, didnt work for me either.

Everything is about trials and tribulations......... 15 months ago, I would of been on here yelling " yes you can lose weight on 1200-1300 calories", because I was doing it. Worked for me. What happened after 9 months? Well I lost 74 lbs, I was skinnier!Yey! Then I Plateaued for 7-8 months hell even gained 20 lbs…
