This is a seriously underappreciated skill.

My goal is a feeling: being strong and agile and fast and energetic. I also want to look good naked.

The Cascade Mountains The Olympic Mountains Puget Sound The San Juan Islands Clean air Endless hiking trails all within a few minutes drive (actually I can run to some during my lunch hour) Orca whales - bald eagles And so many green trees

No .... my friends come over and have free reign of my food. Now if they take my last beer I may stab them.

Because I like to trail run and having a strong butt and legs gets me up the hills. And because I like the way I fill out a pair of jeans.

The instigator. Gently twisting the arms of my friends into doing fun stuff with me. Or stupid stuff. Occasionally illegal stuff.

I vote blue.

Ah yes! I too had a brief running spurt in the 80s. Except it wasn't while TPing houses ... it was escaping after a kegger got busted. I also climbed a chain link fence, so it was more of an obstacle course.

Nope ... have not had this experience .....

I ran a little bit in college, but then didn't start running regularly until 9 years ago, at the age of 33. I had a come to Jesus moment with a three way mirror. For the first three years, I just ran about 4 miles at a time, three days a week, and didn't pay any attention to pace. And then in 2007 I ran my first race - a 7…

I moved. (Not because of him)

Most of the time, I don't mind. But I used to see this homeless guy shuffling up and down the street when I walked my dog - he looked like one of the Doobie Brothers. One day he randomly started calling out to me and humping his hips and pointing at his junk, and I thought, "you know, I see you everyday and our…

Yeah - my dream was to be a Keebler elf. But then I kept growing and growing ....

I like this - and I think it's true. I'm a very happy person and I think nearly all of these apply to me. Except for maybe the meditating part. I'm not really into deep contemplation or reflection. Mostly I hear a lot of buzzing noise.

It was this way in my house too. I hated eating when I was a kid. It was a war of attrition; but I usually won. I'd sit there for hours and hours. My parents had jobs and stuff - I didn't have anything better to do.

Because my dog puts up with me doing things like this to her:

I go to a small locally owned gym. They had a special for Black Friday where you could buy 6 mos. and get 6 mos free, so that worked out to about $12 a month. But I also started going to boot camp a few weeks ago and that was an additional $149 for 12 weeks, 3x a week.

Naked is always the correct answer. Regardless of the activity.

I'm 140. I'm wearing a size 4 skirt. But I'm 5'10.

I've been running outside several times a week for nearly a decade - I've never minded the occasional catcall. I just figure they like my legs - as they should. Is it really that big of a deal? Last weekend my friend and I ran past a man pushing 80 ... he told us we were looking good and that the only reason he keeps…

I've been running regularly for 9 years, so I don't really attribute any weight loss to that. The picture on the left was taken in 2009. But then I joined a gym - started doing boot camp, lifting weights. In 2011, I joined MFP and finally started watching my calories. This is about an 18 pound weight difference:

When I was in high school I had a crush on a friend named John. He was throwing a party so we went downtown to a bar - a notorious gay bar - to ask someone to buy beer. Everyone in the bar knew John's name. Later at the party several of John's friends who didn't attend our high school showed up; these friends included a…

Seriously. I work in an office with several women. They're some of my closest friends. I'm glad I don't spend time around the type of women some of you are describing. Yuck.

Oyster Dome, Bellingham, WA. 2,000 feet up; you can see Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Mountains.

I had one single gray hair on my head on my 23rd birthday. I didn't see another for years and years. But now I color my hair so I plan to remain completely and totally oblivious to the number of gray hairs I may or may not have. FOREVER.

I tan easily and I like being outside as much as possible. I also run almost everyday at lunch when the sun is directly overhead so it would be hard not to be tanned. And I'm one of only like four people in the entire Pacific NW that has a healthy vitamin D level ;-)

I avoid wearing underwear whenever possible. It's really more of a life motto. But if shorty running shorts aren't your thing, both Athleta and Oiselle make longer shorts with liners. Or you can get a longer running skirt with compression shorts underneath.

I’m Shelly. I had a few fits and starts in college, but running didn’t really stick with me until about nine years ago. I was bathing suit shopping, caught sight of myself in a three way mirror, put the bathing suits back and bought a pair of running shoes instead. I’ve always been pretty thin, but that was the day I…

I hope not; I've never in my life worn a one piece bathing suit (well, unless it was just the bottoms....) and I don't intend to start any time soon.
