Why substitute? It's zero calories and if you want a soda, just have one? I have limited myself from 5 or 6 Coke Zero's to just one a day, but that is not because of trying to lose weight. I want to not be so dependent on caffeine, I also limited myself to one coffee in the morning. =]

When I started MFP and started tracking all my food it opened my eyes as well. I never knew all the useless calories I was consuming.... I'm much more conscious of what I eat now and defiantly think "do I really need that" when I see the calories.
